I will take better pictures if you need but there has def not been any sawing of any kind. Normally the transition from seattube to the post is covered by a piece of rubber. Is that what you are referring to? I have not taken out the bb. I would guess it's english threading since it's reynolds tubing, but I have no idea.

It used to have a mix of Campy and Dura Ace. Campy hubs and brake levers DA gears and chainset.
I need UTILITY STUFF. Something like the Velo Orange Front rack, a vintage steel mtb frame or a bilenky frame. Or a a cyclo cross / touring style steel frame/bike for my girlfriend in size 50-51. Or perhaps an Eddy Merckx frame like this one

Also size 50-51.Other than that I have no need for new bikes

The rims are old road rims yes. They are used. In my flickr images I have tried to take pictures of the wear.
The tires are old punctured Clements 19c tubulars and are only there to protect the rims. The valves where not considered when mounting the tires.EDIT: The wheelset is clincher even though I used tubs for protecting the rims

I don't know a thing about brakes but I like that bike. Could tone it down with some gumwalls and adjust the bars (is that a cross thing?) but it's nice.
Crashed on it and ruined the red tape so will replace that with black once it arrives. But these are premium tires. Probably the most loved clinchers in cross so they wont go until Michelin starts doing them in green again ;-)
It is a 'cross thing.
Looks great. Is that a regular compact chainset?
I did Start out with a 44/39 T and 12-23 T on the casette but got an offer for 53/39 T Campagnolo Record carbon for 90 gbp so I didn't mind the extra gears. I only ride 39T in the forrest anyway.
And thank you.
