Just did this from fort William up to cape wrath then we did our own route back down to garve.
Ferry wasn't running on the day we arrived across to cape wrath and we were pushed for time because of firing range so we pushed round the Kyle of durness with some bits of riding on the beach. Totally doable, though glad there was two of us for some of the more scrambly bits.
Highly highly recommended! Will get some semblance of a report up soon enough I hope

Unlikely, but if anyone has one of these lying about, or similar (rim brake fork w/rack mounts) and wants to get rid of it...making a late decision to take a front rack on our touring holiday. I think carrying the vast majority of the weight will be good training, and good for our relationship.
cheers!

Thanks for these, helpful. Don't have fb but i'll get my gf on them.
As i'm sure is common with folk in this thread i'm now weighing up how best to carry bikes. There are a few nice giuletta's around but with the panoramic sunroof and Alfa say not to have roof bars on cars with the sunroof. And alfa's shouldn't have towbars, plus it's basically an extra £1k to carry bikes.
