Yeah, half french. My granddad had one (he passed away this morning unfortunately..:( ), one of my first memories is him driving me around Paris in it. They are deceptively roomy inside, fucking massive actually, and they so so comfortable. I don't know why I picked it aside other cars, I guess I just think it's rather beautiful, I especially love the French yellow-headlights.
I love the fact that the headlights move with the wheels, so when you go round a corner, the headlights turn into the corner to illuminate it better.

Interesting thought, let's throw this out to the whole forum!
Before that happens, I wish to share my opinion on that matter.
Yes, there are idiots in cars who make our lives more difficult. However, there are idiots on bikes that make our lives more difficult, there are also idiots who wander onto cycle paths and roads without looking, who make our lives more difficult.
The mode of transport you use does not make you a better or worse person, take that idiot in a car, and put him on a bike, he'll still be an idiot, acting recklessly, and the opposite is true. All this anti-car/bike crap is so idiotic, it's nothing to do with the car or bike, it's the lump that is (sometimes) in control of it.

Talking about cars on a bike forum is disrespectful?!?!
Honestly, no offense, but that's a little too far don't you think? You make it sound like cars are the enemy or something, like I said earlier, it's obvious people on this forum will have other interests aside from bikes, it's almost like you think an interest of cars is something to be ashamed of for members of this forum.
Well, I have always been a huge car enthusiast, long before I started cycling, I love both, and if people here think that me talking about cars is disrespectful, they have a problem, not me.
Also, "common sense"? You've gotta be joking.

One: I don't know which post of mine you edited to say that.
Two: I have no idea what point you're trying to make.
Three: I don't recognise the acronym 'efa'.
Four: Frankly, I'm finding you a little creepy.Haha, I edited the post something along the lines of, they should've tried it the other way round, about the Reliant/Hayabusa idea.
I changed the post to say, they shouldn't have. As it's a pretty dangerous/stupid idea.
EFA - Edited For Accuracy, apologies, I haven't seen the acronym on this forum so should've explained it.
Ouch, that hurt. -

if you can find one.. that little rocket will set you back at least 300k...did you know only 75 DB4 GT's were produced and the Zagato was even rarer with only 14 being produced from 1961-1963...a dream...
You've beat me in top trumps there, my dream car there was only 48 produced, Caterham 21, basically a full bodied Seven.

@ Mick - It's a budget thing.
Looking for something:
- British
- late '60s/early '70s
- not too much of a slug
About 6-8K - ideas?
Admittedly it is a newer car, however it has the style of a 60s/70s car, with modern mechanicals.

Nice +2 here
http://pistonheads.com/sales/790735.htm
And, if you bought this, you would be my best friend, forever, it's what i'm after as my first car.
http://pistonheads.com/sales/821556.htm
It's only got 150bhp, but it weighs the same as a gnat's testicle, huuuuge grin-factor.
ETA - I actually found a good car that was built in Ireland! http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=98505
That makes up for the De Lorean.
Now we just need to make a ship that floats to make up for the Titanic.

With all due respect Nimhbus...Fuck you.
The original element of this forum has become so unimportant now that people basically just make a mockery of every bike related thread on here now.
But show them a thread about something that people on here have been slagging off since day one in some way or another and you can't wait to jump on its dick.
If the rest of the forum has become so much of a joke now that cars get more respect than bikes you're welcome to it.
It's interesting to see that the majority of posts on this thread are all from newcomers to the forum...that to me says a lot really.
I'm done.Speaking as a relative newcomer, I think that's a bit harsh, that's like me saying that all the people who have been on the forum for x amount of time, get pissed off at a non-bike thread that's on topic, it's a sweeping generalisation, if it says a lot to you, i'd recommend not generalising people like that. You were a newcomer too once, at the end of the day, we're a bunch of people with a similar interest, we are allowed to have other interests, if you don't share it, don't talk about it. As someone else has said, there's many many more bike topics, so it's obvious that more bike topics are gonna go off topic.
Now, keeping this one on topic, i'm with BRM, a TR6 and an Elan is all a man needs, (personally I want a Sprint as opposed to the +2, but the basis is there =P)

Congratulations! Where's the picture?
Did you get your shoe signed by Schumacher because of the meaning of his name or because it's something one does with F1 drivers who have their shoes on the pedals?
Haha no they were a pair of Puma Ferrari shoes.
Reminds me of something Martin Brundel said after a comment from Schumacher, ""Well I guess if your name's Schumacher you can talk cobblers!""
I'll post the pic up as soon as my camera stops being tempermental.

That's such a big problem with the car world nowadays, the "remakes" supposedly the new Mini isn't all that bad, it'll never be as good as the old one, same with the new 500, however the Beetles, Vantages, Capris and all the rest of them are a horrible mark on the originals, how hard is it to come up with a new name?

I hate you too, it's your xmas pressie from me, enjoy it, it's normally very hard to attain =P
