Yeah cold brew definitely mellows out the flavour you get from the beans.
For less good beans this is great, for good beans, not so much.
When I was regularly making cold brew (full immersion, still yet to try my MacGyver drip tower), I ended up just using some pre-ground Taylors coffee from the supermarket as it was a waste to use anything decent.

Perfect for lazy weekends
As someone with a 6 year old, I look forward to being able to properly evaluate that use case at some point.
A few months back, she asked what coffee tasted like as I was having an espresso. I figured this was a great time to have her try it and be revulsed by it to stop any more questions on it for the next decade. Was not expecting the positive response.
The Argos does look like a great little machine. It's rare that I find myself interested in newer machines, but that does look very nice. I like how they've designed it to be used both with and without the spring. Haven't seen that before!

Ah that makes sense!
I do love mine, though I do wish they made them with a 58mm group. Most times I have an espresso from mine, I immediately want another. I normally dose around 14.5g, would be nice to be able to get a bit more in!
Also, I've jerry-rigged a cold drip tower from my V60 server, an Aeropress and a Dr. Pepper bottle. Hoping for another warm day tomorrow so I can give it a go!

Nope! Would be interesting to see how it fares compared to a standard cold brew made in something like this: https://www.hario.co.uk/collections/coffee-brew-cold-brew/products/hario-mizudashi-cold-brew-coffee-maker-black-1l
But I don't think I could be bothered with the faff, and I own a siphon brewer!
Edit: I am tempted by this though: https://www.coffeedesk.com/product/3766/Hario-Shizuku-Slow-Drip-Brewer
I can see how not having the coffee continuously submerged in the water could possibly help with not imparting some of those duller flavours often associated with cold brew. Might rig up a DIY version and see how it tastes!

Check out Session. It's obviously nowhere near as good looking or smooth running as it is on the main consoles or PC, but I still find it very enjoyable.
It's a very different game from THPS though (as someone who was more on the Thrasher: Skate & Destroy side than the THPS side as a kid, this is very much a good thing)

I did add an etc in there (also birth certificates) , I was just making the point that we don't need a compulsory ID to get access to anything we can't get access to with all the other forms we have now.
To be fair I think the amount of people who could say they'd have no problem producing a birth cert as ID would be lower than both passport & driving licences! I haven't a clue where mine is.
Honestly I have no strong feelings either way, I always have my driving licence on my and my passport is always nearby. No idea what the work involved would be but in theory the idea of something like an NI card that was also a photo ID doesn't seem like a terrible idea.
I'm living in Ireland these days and we've got something called a Public Services Card which is a government-issued photo ID. It's not mandatory, but I think it's a good thing for people to have an option to have access to a useful photo ID that isn't a driving licence or passport.
I'm not looking for consistency with fasch arguments and I always expect their hatred for forruns to trump everything.
Valid point
Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not after an argument, I can see this seems to have descended into several conflicts of opinion already. Just stating my viewpoint on the matter and am happy to hear that of others

what need is it fulfilling that isn't already covered by other things such as passports and driving licenses etc.
I guess part of that is that many people don't have those? Don't know about driving licences, but I had a quick look at the data for held passports across the UK and the ratio of British passport:no passport was around 5:1 or so.
Honestly surprised that the far right fasch parties haven't been championing them as a way to know who the illegals are. (or maybe they have?)
Have you seen how those people react to the idea of '15 minute cities'? You think they'd be up for a compulsory ID card system?

Are you still looking for something BTW? I'm clearing out some music gear and found that I still have that GX61 up in the storage room. It's not boxed, but happy to send it for postage costs.
Will be getting rid of a Roland MC-101 & Yamaha Reface CS/DX pairing (all 3 with Decksavers and the MC-101 including 100+ of the ZenCore soundpacks), will grab some photos if anyone here is interested before popping up on Reverb.

Buy a refillable one? That's what I've always done. We've got something not too dissimilar to this: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807229377219.html
Edit: Found it

Hoping we didn't pay RRP for that...
