I've got ZV7s on my Clio 182 and I can't fault them. They've got a reputation for cracking in the tread 'valleys' but I've not experienced that.

I'm about to put a set on my e34 as well so guess that's another endorsement although I'm extremely limited in tyre choice based on wheel size for that car.

Personally I'd prioritise cars that have not had third party/aftermarket IMS fixes above those that have, but this is my opinion only.

Intrigued why this is? The ones that are going to go bang already have and dodgy IMS fixes may not be the fix-all some people think they are?

For driveway diy mechanics. I’ve already got axle stands but very bored of jacking the car up with the jacks that came with the respective cars for wheel changing purposes.

I’m after a trolley jack. Any must have features or are they all much for muchness?

Most things from a premium brand (Michelin, Goodyear etc.) will suit just fine.

I just found out the designer of that, Ercole Spada, also designed the BMW E34 5 series as seen on previous page, which was a surprise. He also did the Aston DB4 GTZ and I think the prettiest Lamborghini ever, the 3500 GTZ

I was always under the impression the 1.8t was the one to go for because it was as quick as the v6 99% of the time but was a much sweeter steer.

In my experience small SUV ≠ a lot of space. Most are similar size to a Golf in the boot so I'd be tempted to go for an estate or a larger SUV if you're looking for a big boot to haul stuff around.

I'd wager that is the least likely one to raise a response so far. You've not paid them anything have you?

The state of the sills makes me suspect the later.

Love the look of these. I'd want to know more about what 'restoration' work has been done to the underside given the many previous corrosion related failures/advisories on the MOT history. Has it been properly addressed or just some rough 'MOT fix' welding that's been sprayed over with underseal to hide any horrors?

Ideally with an axle stand or equivalent rather than leaving the car on the jack.

Or take the wheel off and get a taxi to the tyre place

Internal only wall mounted.... this could be a goer

Talk to me about air conditioning units (predictably), I live in a 1910 victorian semi-detached and want a way of cooling my bedroom. I think my options are a mobile unit with a pipe out the window or a more traditional fixed unit with internally/externally mounted units. Are there any other options?
