Not for me--it won't surprise anyone to hear that I love those days when I'm surrounded by other riders. And I've said it before and I'll say it again--I find 'nodder' discriminatory. Give people some time to learn and support rather than attack them. There's a dark period in the history of this country when a pandemic of avelopia (JFGI) developed and caused people not to cycle for decades. We have a whole lost generation to contend with. As the nation finds healing, the need for recuperative assistance is paramount.
Cycling is a social skill and requires sharing the street. If someone makes a mistake, do point it out to them gently but be prepared to look at what you may be doing wrong yourself. Obligatory comment: get cycle training if you haven't had it yet. You will be able to learn even as a very experienced rider, as the course assesses your level of skill first and then adapts to what needs looking at.
+1. Much rather have 50 dodgy cyclists around me on the roads than 5 mopedists.

******SOLD, SORRY CHAPS AND CHAPETTES!*******
Hello,
First of all, yes, this is the Cannondale CAAD3 I bought from SteveS on here, little over a week ago.
Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with it, just after a 40 mile ride, I decided that gears are just not for me. I'm sure my Dad would be highly dissapointed.
Still, it's basically still in the condition I bought it, if not slightly better as it now has a new chain and shiny new pedals.
It's about 10 years old so there's a few dings, notably the top tube but they're all just visual. Given a little bit of a tune up and love by a deserving owner and you've got yourself a serious road bike here!
If wasn't for karma, I'd almost certainly get double the asking price on eBay, but I ain't that guy.
Here goes...Here's some pictures:
linkHere's the spec:
57 bb to top (I think)
Cannondale Caad Aluminium frame / Cannondale slice-echelon carbon fork
Shimano 105 geary goodness (all this is about £150 alone)
XP21 front rim, Open pro rear - both laced to Coda (Cannondale) Hubs
Nice Continental tires
Cinelli barsAnd here's the price:
£150Dibs are of course allowed but please PM me because I'm a bit shit at checking the forum sometimes.
Thanks,
Tom
people are free anyway though aren't they?
to take the very basics of veganism, it's a choice not to eat/wear animal products. anyone with a bit of sense will let someone do that. if they want to miss out on steak and leather thongs, then fine.
if for example you got sacked from your company in a round-about way because of being a vegan, that's not your fault for not wanting burgers or leather thongs.. that's because your boss is a narrowminded shithead. (who could probably get done for unfair dismissal as it goes)
i realise that prejudice is the issue here but it has to be said, for most people, other people's beliefs or eating habits are neither interesting, relevant nor offensive.
big up the vegans and the kebabites too, holla!
