I grabbed an unabridged version for under a quid.
The length is what is tearing me between it and something shorter and probably lighter like The Spy that came in from the cold. It's under 300 pages and I should get through it in 2 or 3 days and I can start on something else, whereas the former I will have to devote a month to it like I did The Brothers Karamazov.
Not that that's a bad thing, of course.

For "last stop" you can use ultima parada. This would apply for buses, trains etc
So, you could say:
Cual es la ultima parada? (Which is the last stop?)
Es ésta la ultima parada? (Is this the last stop?)
Es x la ultima parada? (Is x the last stop?)Hope this helps. If you need anything else, drop us a PM.

Was compelled to read this after reading a blurb about it on /r/books. I devoured it in one sitting, constantly checking the page count and telling myself I really should get to sleep but couldn't put it down, I needed to see what happened. Don't you just love it when you get a book like that?
In the end I got to sleep around 4am (and felt like death when the kids woke me up at 7 demanding breakfast).
Great premise, a bit let down by the ending though, sadly.

Fake bomb detector husband jailed for three years
Mr Tree claimed the detectors could track down missing people if a photograph of them was placed inside
Seems legit

I started on Hear The Wind Sing yesterday, got Pinball lined up for after. I read Wild Sheep Chase a few months ago. I was my first Murakami after trying 1Q84 and not getting past a few chapters - found it wasn't going anywhere and I gave up. I wasn't quite sure what to make of Sheep Chase either but when I finished it I couldn't stop thinking about it.

Just joined our local library (recently moved) and taking the kids up there after work to grab some books (they are excited as fuck, and quite frankly so am I. It pleases me no end that they are keen on books already at their age). Not sure what to pick up for myself though, there isn't really much of a selection as its a small library but I did spot a couple of Murakamis: Norwegian Wood and Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman. I was thinking Norwegian Wood, I've heard good things about it. The only other Murakami I've read is Wild Sheep Chase.

^ Good luck with that.
I finally put The Brothers Karamazov to bed after just over a month. I have to admit literally skimming over some of the courtroom scenes towards the end because I just wanted to get the fucking thing over with.
I've now just started reading I Am Pilgrim and, in contrast, I am 183 pages in after only several hours. With TBK I would be lucky to get 20 pages done in day.
Anyone read Pilgrim? It's pretty good so far.

I've already started The Count, supplemented by one of the Librivox recordings for when I walk to and from work.
We touched upon Quixote at school (I was brought up in Spain) but I never really fancied reading it. One day I will get around to it, probably in its original form.
