If i remeber well elswick was taking 27 inch wheels. In most cases you'll be able to fit 700c with deeper drop caliper brake.

It depends on the budget as well. Technially speaking elswick turbo 12 will fit any standard 120mm wheelset perfect.

Sounds good. do you know which model is the one that you have. My head is prety long but quite narrow and that's probably why most helmets that i tried had a lot of space on sides but were ot tight at front and back :-)

I am having some crapy helmet that really anoys me with poor airflow and not very comfy fit.

sorry i realise i wasn't fully clear, looking to buy the frame and forks separate so i can build the bike up myself (with some help). so looking second hand i think for the frame and the parts so i can put it together.

the only little problem is that i am prety far away from brighton:-)

go to cranks in Brighton. they have a big pot of axles and other bits. they should be able to help you out
