Chain line can be sorted out by flipping the cog the other way round.

mine has already been flipped and still out. i am using a BB of 107mm but cant go to 103mm as it is an old frame and the cranks/ring catches the frame.

my coaster hub is getting very noisy and i think it needs an overhaul. it has done about 200 miles. still need to sort the chain line.

i want to try an internal geared hub. something like this.

Anyone built up a bike using a modern 8 speed geared hub? I have been thinking about this for a while.
The clean lines and smoothness of a SS but with 8 gears would be ideal.
The spacing on my frame is for a 120mm hub but the geared hubs are 135mm. Would this squeeze into my frame with some persuasion?
Any other problems i could encounter?

Buy a single cog with the number of teeth that you want and then just swap them over. You need to buy/borrow the correct tool to remove the lock ring.
