Did the Sunday Sportives Dunsfold event today. Tough ride over 125k. Not too many big hills but lots of up and downs plus the tight lanes of Surrey. Stunning route, but one which made for slow(ish) riding. It got quite sketchy at times and often it was difficult to get grip up the slopes. Had a very close call with a car. If the guy in front of me had not yelled 'Car!' it would have been a lot worse. Phew!
It was well run, by same team who do the Southern Sportive and I would recommend it.
Nice to see a rugby star getting involved too....Josh Lewsey.
Waiting with baited breathe for the results. Thought I had missed Gold, so I slowed down near the end, but my mate reckons I may have scraped in. Moral of the story is....never slow down.

My first gold standard..3h 55mins. Just pipped by Jonny and Shoots...very nice to meet you both.
Fantastic riding weather compared to 2008....although last year's conditions were great laugh.
Legs were shot at the end. Gawdamn hybrid rider overtook me on the last hill up to Crystal Palace. Oh the shame.

Crikey, one that it actually disconnected...which is the correct state. You just need to connect it with finger pressure. But where to? Hopefully this nice bloke can make it a bit clearer...

Rocksteady, if the filling loop is not on or near the boiler, follow your pipes down until you find it. It may be hidden nicely behind units. Mine, for example, is behind my washing machine which is directly below the boiler. I have to shift the washing machine each time I need to re-pressurize (the boiler), which is a right pain.
