Looks an excellent finish to me, the weight is great, the price is cheap as chips considering the time spent, wins all round I believe, even dear old LFGSS gets a slice, which is a nice touch, plus it's recycling too!

May have been fitted to Campag cranks- there'd be a connection there.....

SLC01 is extremely nice.....& so light too, newer versions even lighter....

A truly excellent frame & a very good price too.....just my size....don't do Campag on best road bikes though ......although retro bike does have it.....too entrenched in Shimano by far to change now....tried SRAM & no likey.....FSA fine by me, er buy me....

Keep th frame & use shallow drop bars- Simples!

I suggest you smear Waxoyl or similar over the chrome to keep it free from rust for a long time. Whilst chroming in those days was good, its not necessarily going to stay good for ever.

Without wishing to piss on a parade- I had these and didn't get with them as the sole was too soft, so when you twisted to release the cleat required a huge movement, but I do have my pedals set at max torque on release.

A mate wore his for very many years & on long Audax's & swore by them, wanting to corner the remaining stock in his size, so he'd have a pair for life.

They're not good without the cleats as there's a big hole in the sole & no strength without the cleat.

Still got the punctured tubes here too!
