I did a similar thing with an earlier Solaris. 48c gravel kings are still pretty capable off-road as long as it isn’t muddy, and you have at least moderate MTB skillz
It’s not gonna rip the black route at Stainburn, but well at home on Ilkley Moor ;)

The definition of ‘Suspension corrected’ depends on the era. 420 was traditionally equivalent to 80mm travel, 440 for 100mm travel and 460 for 120mm

You will need to make sure the disc brakes you buy will fit the (post-mount) mounts on the frame.
Most Road groupsets will come with flat mount calipers.

Nice! How old is your son if you don’t mind my asking? I will probably put a flat bar on this initially to reduce the reach… s/he can ‘grow’ into the drop bar

EBay gods have smiled upon me and handed me this little ripper for the princely sum of £30! I have two kids, but even the eldest is 2 years away from being big enough to ride this - so I can take my time
I’m a big kona fan, I plan to completely replace and upgrade every part. Cool as it is, it is also infeasibly heavy. I suspect the cranks and wheels are the biggest anchors ..
I did see one of these sporting SRAM red components somewhere on the web… I certainly won’t be going that far…

Too many gravel bikes these days are 2.5kg frames with oversize headtubes, thru axles and mounts for every damn thing. These earlier disc ‘road’ bikes are much nicer to me

Prigozhin has nothing to lose now Putin wants him arrested. He overthrows the Kremlin or he rots in prison for the rest of his life.
Putin immediately looks weak, another strongman individual is usurping his authority. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the military switching allegiance to Prigozhin if it means they don’t have to go and die in a war that no one wants and has no obvious end

You can also get more tyre clearance by going for some centre pull brakes like Paul’s or diacompe. Look a bit retro but offer more height
