650B would be good too- but you'll have to go for discs - Not that you can't get rim brake 650B rims (velocity synergy for one) but you won't find a 650B fork with v brake mounts unless you custom build it.

Seems pretty standard for a 55cm frame with internal bearing.. If not a little short. My old 55cm horizontal square frame had a 14cm headtube + 3cm for external cups and boom - 17cm

If you have removed the BB - is it a 70mm shell or 68? Would tell IT or Eng.

Is the RH dropout bent back a bit? Doesn't look parallel to the LH in the pic

To the fellow above thinking about 52/54 ... I'm the same height and I say go 54 every time. Easier to compensate with a shorter stem than a longer one.. Plus you get higher bars and more toe clearance with mudguards. No brainer!
