Breaking my touring bike (after 500 miles use) so some nice stuff for sale...
Shimano R650 = Shimano's 'higher end' long drop brakes - Mint aside from some light scarring towards the back of one caliper>>>> £40 for the pair

Look S-Track Pedals - cleats and shims all included - a little bit marked from use, but as I said - sub 500 miles on them... Bearings perfect.

Finally - Shutter Precision Dynamo Hub 32h & B&M Luxos U light - (with USB charging feature) - Extra Battery included (not required for use - but useful for holding a charge for charging off the bike)
The light is a seriously nice bit of kit, retails for £140 in the UK, the hub goes for £99
The hub is the CL version - just in case you want to run a disc.
This is a great set-up for touring - top up your kindle / iphone / lights / whatever. Spare dynamo cable included, instructions etc.
£125 for the bundle - or £175 with the hub built into a brand new Mavic Black 32h OPEN PRO (with Sapim DB Race Spokes in black)

Brass washers are not required, they won't do any harm but they are pretty unnecessary. I would be wary of using overly long spokes, in my experience most online calculators are pretty conservative and I usually find spokes at least 1mm too long when I've built a wheel.
You don't want spokes poking through your rim tape after all! Also, the spokes on either side of your rear wheel will be different lengths 99% of the time -
Seattle is very pretty

The air smells fantastic with all the pine trees. Some silly steep roads though!
I settled on 34/48 for the front rings with an XT 11-32 cassette and I'm feeling very happy with the choice. My DT shifters wouldn't work with the frame bag so went with bar ends in the end. I also found my legs rubbing the frame bag.. So you can see I settled on a compression type strap to squeeze in the bag where my knees met it.
First big miles ride to Portland today. Will see how she fares

I just wanna say, the Force Ten Helium I picked up last week is fantastic.
Very easy to pitch, even for a camping n00b.. quality is evident, lovely design features AND i can sit bolt upright! (should be the same for those under 5'9") It does feel a little bit fragile, the zips are tiny - so care needed - but overall I'm chuffed to get a 1.2kg tent for £170

Forgot to put a price on the pedals - £20
