Having been whacked over the head with a mallet end last night after several near misses I'm thinking of wearing a helmet, something to protect my face as well. Anyone already wearing something suitable?
Cheers
MartinPaul from Manchster just bought a cricket helmet, with a visor, for £20 from Decathlon I think
Yep, cricket helmet or hurling helmets are good option.
Check out ebay, you can get one for about a tenner.

in case anyone else didnt know this. I'm surprised no one has ever mentioned it to me before, but i was running standard brake cable housing and jared (FL) gave my brakes a squeeze last night and immidietaly told me i needed 'linear' cable housing. Its what bmxers use and its stops the cable binding. Golden wheel your a shit for keeping this info from me!
Mr B, any idea where a good place to get some is ?

Thought I'd try my luck on here; I was wondering if anyone knew/had any Liverpool tickets available for this season. Or how I would go about getting a couple. They are for my housemate for his birthday, and their website isn't that helpful!
cheersBefore Pisti chimes in and points out we're all cockney kopites and never actually go to Anfield ..........
To buy tickets online you need to register for a fan card, costs a couple of quid then you can apply for tickets. As tickets are in high demand, you'll need to do as Clive says and try for the less popular games, West Brom on the 29th for example. The big games are allocated on a loyalty basis so you need to rack up points on your fan card to get a sniff at these.
The other way to get tickets for any game is through an agency (ticketmaster etc) but you'll end up paying well over the face value for these.Of course, if you can get there in person you can avoid the grief and buy tickets from the ground a week or so before games, depending on availability.

Following Sunday's humbling of City, Sunderland look to have signed Asamoah Gyan for a tidy sum.
Brucey will be eyeing up Europe next ;)
