Hi, first post, I'm building up my first fixed gear bike and was wondering whether this is a reasonable/legit deal:
Obviously IRO frames are known to be pretty good, and the frames pictured seem to be pretty much identical when comparing but the unmarked-ness makes me slightly more cautious. I would guess they were bought in a group buy or something.
I don't want to end up with a unipack-esque frame by accident :PCheers,
Olly
You'll buy it then want to take all the pointless braze ons off and be upset that you bought what is essentially a trials bike frame.

After offering a few parts up today and sitting on the bike i've realised that it's too big no matter what i tell myself.
It's been powder coated recently in black and is ready to set up.
I'm leaving the campag chorus headset and shimano bottom bracket with it.
Open to sensible offers.
Could arrange delivery to london but would have to be hounslow west tube and at buyers cost or postage, its gonna be around £20.00 either way. (I live in swindon)
Pics can be found at http://truefixation.blogspot.com/
If anyone requires more pics let me know as still has wheels on to get an idea of clearances.

makes me laugh that people think it's a "new" thing
for the sake of fuck, people have been doing tricks on bikes since bikes were invented, and guess what sort of drivetrain those early bikes had?
Circus style bicycle tricks have been around for 100+ years, they still use a fixed drivetrain nowadays.
the only new thing is hipsters skidding and trackstanding in a car park, hardly going to set the bicycle tricks world alight is it..
Just takes one person with a different perspective.
Someone with optimism and enthusiasm.
And everything changes.
stacy Peralta.
Rodney mullen.

Seems people are jaded about tricks and track bikes i think it could work out well.
I think that bunnyhop bar spins or riding transition (anything leaning towards bmx) looks ugly. But i think theres room for it to develop in its own way more towards a flatland style.
Glad to see a bit of positive feedback.
I'll enjoy what i'm doing for the moment.

With track bike riding being in it's infancy in terms of tricks i wondered what people would expect to see in 2009. And what do you think is possible but you just haven't seen it done.
Back ped wheelies was my first (i know it pulls the front down but has anyone seen this done?)
Also skidding on banks? i've been trying to pull skids on a tight bank in town, got close a few times, i think it could be done with enough speed and balance.
So many ideas so little dry days at the mo.
Really hoping it will take a different direction than bmx in terms of tricks.
If this has all been done on a vid i haven't seen i apologise. And i apologise now for the ramblings i just wanted to hear others ideas.

I've got the exact same tyre on a deep V. Not sure how wide the H plus Son's are, but those tyres are amazing on the V. Zero punctures since April.
Right then.....top contact it is.
*gets coat heads for LBS**
£40 for a folding which i will puuuurchase 2 of, skint but the saying goes. "buy cheap buy twice" and the person that first said that was right.

Does make sense. Alas I am a bike size fool. My usual technique involves going to the bike shop and asking for a big one. I shall check Sheldon and do a measuring tonight. In the mean time, I'm 6'2 and it fits me legwise in the pictured configuration. And no i WONT come for a ride with you unklesouth
Ok fine i understand :)

After realising that my 60cm frame is too big i'm hoping someone has a 57cm track frame that they are willing to part with.
Must be 1" threaded.
Hope you can help.
