i got a size small with a narrow pad and they are fine with an arione.

they are good shorts and i'd happily buy them again but i'd probably try the medium pad next time. narrow is fine though (for my arse+saddle).

The hub is in very good condition. The rim is in good condition too although there is the usual brake rubbing and also one ding (pictured) and some storage marks.

I've just noticed that the thread's title was auto-corrected to "Street frameset" rather than "steel frameset". I hope that didn't give the wrong impression!

A powder-coated steel frameset with horizontal dropouts. I think it has 120mm rear dropouts.
the top tube is 56.5cm
sadly the seatpost is stuck at 61cm from BB to saddle rails.
it has a good condition range headset.

You can take bikes on the local trains, btw (maybe certain hours only). I took mine from Nice to Menton.

Check out the Monaco rental places. The guys I met claimed to get their fancy bikes for a week for something like €150. Although they haggled and it was slightly out of season so I guess it will be more in August.

I got a Cervelo R5 one day and then an Aspero the next from Cafe du Cycliste although there is also Service Course and they have great looking bikes too.
I don't know what bike shop those other guys used in Monaco but I remember googling once I got home and there were a few to choose from.

I rented in Nice last year and it was very good but I bumped into a couple of guys who rented bikes in Monaco and they got really high end (although slightly older) rim brake road bikes for much less. One of them had Lightweight wheels. This was in early September so I guess it counts as low season and I see you want to go in August.

I've got that same condor tape in black and I really didn't like it. I found it way too thin. I replaced it with cinelli kaleido (something like that) which I like much more and I think it looks quite cool.
