Bought this ages ago but I've just got too many bikes so its never going to be built up, so I might as well sell it.

Its an 80s Columbus Acciaio Speciale tubed Ciocc with original chrome forks, seat tube is 55cm c to c and top tube is 54 c to c

Its pretty much faultless as its never been built up but for that very reason it will need the bottom bracket chasing out ( which is Italian threaded ) just to clear the paint.

The seller just got back to me about the De Rosa and the reserve is £745

Be carefull with the bankrupt stuff, there's nothing wrong with them but they don't usually come with wheel nuts, rim tape or lockrings and by the time you've added the price of those on top there are better wheelsets out there for the money.

Its going to have a prety hefty reserve on it as the resto probably cost him £120-£150

I was putting this together for a mate of mine but he snapped his achilles on Sunday so he's going to be off a bike for a while

Its a lovely bike but I would say that as I have an almost identical one the frame is a couple of years old but unused and the seat tube is 44cm c to c

The rest is unused 10 speed Record apart from the wheels which are NOS late 90s Record hubs on Sunn rims

Its got a Deda Ultra carbon stem and Deda Newton bars, all it needs is cables/bar tape and a chain

I'll give preference to somebody who wants the whole thing or whole groupset but if no interest by the weekend I will split into individual parts

As it is £1200 posted or ready to ride for £1250 posted might seem a lot but its all unused apart from the pedals which don't come with it anyway and he's losing a LOT!! of money on this at that price

Most bike shops don't have the Italian thread cutters even very good ones as they cost about £300 and never get used.

Most frame builders will have them, I sent mine off to Argos Cycles and they reamed the seat tube, headtube and chased the bb threads for £35 which I thought was pretty good :)

Nothing? I think it is only polite to get back to somebody if they have expresed an seriose intrest in something you are selling. If you had named a price that you wanted for it one could have met it or not. Insted of waiting for a few days to see who the highest bidder is. Its not ebay.

No your right its not ebay and thats the reason I didn't play people off against eachother, I gave people a fair time to make me an offer and then went with the highest offer.

In normal circumstances I would have got back to everyone who showed an interest but I had a lot of interest all at about the same price, it also didn't help that I'm back in Norway now with very limited internet access.

I am sorry for not getting back to everyone, if its any consolation I'll soon be back in a freezing cold ditch welding pipelines :D

Its light ish I certainly wouldn't call it heavy, should have weighed it before I built it really.

As it stands it weighs about 23 lbs

Firstly apologies to anyone I've annoyed by not getting back to them about this but I got sent away with work and literally only had time to grab some clothes and my passport.

Its all done now so if anyone wants it I can post on Wednesday so you'll have it before the weekend :)

I haven't put grips on it as I'll cut the bars down to whatever width you want and you can also decide whether you want black or white grips :)

Seat tube is 53cm centre to centre and top tube is 55cm centre to centre.

Wheels are Novatec hubs fixed/fixed on Mavic open sports, new KMC chain, new bb, new Surly 17t cog, new FSA 44t chainring, new Nitto stem and new tyres and tubes.

I'll also put a better seat on it :) pedals **NOT **included

FFS a deda zero replica simmoncini and you want to barspin it. that bike needs gears and to be ridden up hill and down dale. i'm almost tempted to buy and stop you heathens killing a puppy.

I don't really want to sell the Carlton as frame alone, although I could probably be persuaded by a good offer :D its 54cm centre to top seat tube and 55 c to c top tube.

Its 55cm centre to centre seat and top tube, fork crown is a bit odd but it looks like its the original fork as its chrome plated under the paint the same as the frame :)

I was going to build this up fixed but I've since nicked all the bits I was going to use for another build :) so its built up as a singlespeed using bits I had hanging about.

Not the best parts in the world but it gets you rolling and if you wanted to go fixed the chainline isn't bad at 43mm and is spot on with lots of the older Shimano chainsets.

Before anyone mentions it, yes the chain is too short and will be replaced so the wheel sits further back in the dropouts :) and I'll put a rear brake on as well but I wanted to take some pics while the sun was shining :)
