Jimjams, great to see you last night at Corney's do. As explained, I am under pressure to attend a social event, but am hoping it will be cancelled. Can you relegate me to the bottom of the reserve list, as it is not fair to block someone else who can definitely attend.

What time is this kicking off?
7:30. I am leaving Norbury at 6:30 if anyone fancies a leisurely (as in potential head winds and rain) ride up to the venue. Joe Garcia has confirmed we can use the guard rails outide the club for locking up our bikes.
I will have a bundle of discount vouchers, if anyone is short. You only have to ask... nicely.

Ponda, love, it's postponed. till feb.
Well, despite the disruptive efforts of the Royal Navy, you are all welcome to Corney's Departure Lounge on Saturday evening, commencing 7:30. I have plenty of discount cards (thats 20% OFF, not 80% off) so just catch me at the do, to secure your advantage.
Anyone in pirate costume, will get a sympathetic "Arrrrrr" from the assembled revellers.
More details on the event thread.

OK folks, a quick reminder that this is definitely on, commencing 7:30pm, Saturday 5th September. I will have a bunch of discount cards with me, so come make yourselves known to secure the very generous discount on the gargle.
I will be riding up, leaving Norbury station at 6:30 if anyone wants some company on the cruise into saucy Soho.
Corney, Joe G is more than happy for you to bring a Bright Times selection on an iPod for an hour or so of top music, to be enjoyed during the evening.

Sorry I can't make it corn starch, I'll have beaten you through the gates, so to speak. Have an awesome departure.
Shame you cannot join us.
The first batch of discount cards were snapped up on Monday night, but I have a second run if anyone is interested. MMcCarthy took some away for the West massive, but let me know if you will need one before the main event.

Oh Hells Bells; so much disappointment caused by a single missed "f." 20% reduction in list prices, rather than Joe G angling for immediate dismissal for gross misconduct and pitching the bar into immediate bankruptcy.
The gross misconduct comes later when he tries to "wake up" Corney from his slumbers.
-
Remember to get your Corney Departure Lounge discount cards from me tonight.
And watch out for conterfeit versions, especially from Spagetti "Flashman" Hoops. He will probably be turning up in sheepskin coat and trilby, along with other moody tickets for forthcoming sold out gigs.
You have been warned. If it does not show Fluff strangling our lord and master, then it is not genuine.

Some of you may be aware that Cornelius Blackfoot, the tower of strength of the forum, and the cornerstone of Saaf drinks, is shortly leaving the UK to go touring the world on a fixed gear bike.
Joe Garcia, a forum member, has kindly agreed to host a leaving do at the Soho Theatre Bar, which is at 21 Dean Street, Soho on Saturday 5 December, commencing at 7:30.
Joe is also giving all forum members staff rates on the drinks, which is about 20% off list prices. I have prepared discount cards that need to be presented at the bar. Please either see me at Saaf drinks, or on the door on the night to benefit from this very generous offer.
So come along for a great night out in london's famous London for a stand alone evening, a celebration drink after the Pirate ride, or a warm up gargle in advance of the night time tour of the city.
Regards.
Bernie

What? Y'ou mean we are going to have to move Saaf drinks every week, just to keep up with your travels?
You are the cornerstone of our motley crew; to say you will be missed is an understatement of George W Bush proportions.
And don't think you are escaping the Coach and Horses without a truly epic evening.

It is a sign of what a great guy he is, that he sent me an apology text for missing Corney's Departure Lounge do. Not the slightest hint of feeling sorry for himself, just the usual selfless concern for others and their feelings. He attended a do I hosted during the summer, and sent me one of the most charming letters I have ever received.
Paul, you are a diamond, and the outpouring of good wishes from this community, is richly deserved. Get well, you old sod; we need you back at the Coach and Horses pronto.
