along fulham palace road heading up towards the hammersmith roundabout around 9am today, riding and chatting with a curly haired girl on a lovely purply/maroon fixed with black risers/hubs etc...think it had a brightly coloured headtube badge?
Wasn't the girls bike, said she'd borrowed from a friend....if you're on here respect to impressive skills on the bike considering you don't normally ride fixed... you slay traffic like a demon :)

absolutely, Goretex convert myself. I've got two jackets already, a Pro Shell for climbing and an older XCR snowboarding jacket. Neither are any good for riding with as they've got huge hoods that get in the way and not that stuffable. My gf has a mountain equipment paclite which seems perfect if it didnt' have the hood.
What drew me to the Scott was that it had the detachable hood so great for riding, but useful off the bike too...it might be smaller and lighter than my Pro Shell for stuffing in the day sac "just in case" on multipitch climbing etc .
Not sure if there are any other similar jackets out there that have the same?

Thinking of buying one for the rainy season ahead...especially if today's anything to go by...

Like the Scott Paclite, as it doesn't look too crap plus its got a detatchable hood so I can wear for other activities off the bike.
Really struggling to find any reviews on this jacket though on the whole ti'nterweb....anyone own or have any knowledge of this jacket?

hey Nhatt I don't know u, so perhaps my 2p's worth is not so appropriate, but as for peckham, I live there, I drink in bar storey and both are definitely worth experiencing for all the right reasons...their reputation aint great so I can understand your reservation, but there is another side...
from my past experience of bright times bar storey style, its about friends from the forum hanging listening to great tunes whilst enjoying one another's company...and beer...
its not a casting event, correct me if i'm wrong festus, and if there happens to be a casting agent there, then its the individual perogative of forumengers whether they give that agent the time of day.
understandably you, and maybe many others won't, and that's cool, its the music and bright times that's the thing
would love to hear your tunes on sunday Nhatt

If you have any of the following special skills OR even if you are simply a creative and interesting person, then we want to hear from you…
basically if you do anything urban, street, funky and cool…..

Go on the Skyride, don't wear the issued Skyride top, take banners calling Murdoch an evil cunt.
I love this idea...
I hate everything about News Corp and Sky, from a social awareness POV and having had to be shafted/work with them on projects before...
but I love that my cycling beginner friend was thinking of going on Sunday to help her get some confidence up on the roads...
Maybe not "Murdoch is an evil cunt", but how about something a little more soft/witty that gets the message across, I don't know, ride topless with something written on your back?...

Curious, and opinions of the BLB classic track frames?
i've got a BLB track frame, but not the classic, and my gripe was the quality of the paintwork (its a resprayed IRO frame).
don't know if such applies to the the classic, but I didn't think the finish great and not very resistant to wear...
