looking at that picture, it's a credit to the bike-handling of the pros cav wasn't more seriously hurt. The team manager has apologised, the rider seems unrepentant:

I think Cav would have had a tough time winning it if he hadn't been impeded. Sky were bossing it then Cav lost G's wheel a couple of corners to go, then the two Sky men where leading the train with Cav about five riders back, the twoof them looking around to see where he was and unsure what to do. Green Edge timed it perfectly, two of them surging through with Goss on their wheel. That said Cav was winding up and would have a got a decent placing to defend his Maglia Rosso. I doubt they will do anything about the Italian....in the Giro d'Italia. Although him and Finney crossed the line, both are going to be very sore.
Cam amyone see Geraint developing into a proper GC rider? His time-trialling has improved, he was excellent in Paris-Nice and Romandie as a lieutenant, great lead-out man yesterday, if he was to fully focus on the road (after the Olympics) and improve his climbing, could he be a contender?
Oh yes he won junior Paris-Roubaix too

pretty classy by Sky: 3 stage wins, 2 riders in yellow, 3 in the top five, overall GC winner and even had the world champion lead the peleton on a big climb, which was surreal. Cav was there for the mileage I assume, ahead of the Giro? Get some mountains into his legs, because he was never going to win a stage.
Evans two minutes back, but I don't know what to read into that. Looking good for Sky so far

I think both them and BMC are, looking to lay down a marker for the Tour. Are either Evans or Wggins likely to ride the Dauphine as well?
Sky looks to have the core of the squad that is likely to ride the tour, perhaps with Eisel, Uran, Flecha and EVB joinging them for the main event?
Looking forward to the next few day's racing

yeah he's got it from pursuiting on the track, thinking that's why Thomas did well too
Didn't think Thomas was doing any more road racing ahead of the Olympics. Pretty sure he's not riding the Tour, curious choice for the Sky team in this event? They seem to have put out the big guns for this one generally, and I think Evans has got a strong backing too

I think it depends on what you are planning to take with you. Travel light with a small bag (like the Alpkits: http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16268&category_id=295 ) and buy things along the way and you should be fine. I travelled in New Zealand doing about 60K a day with a bag on my bag. Are you camping?

+1 I think Rapha annoys a lot of the 'serious' cyclists because of the marketing and price, which means it does get bought by 'all the gear but no idea' riders, who buy it for style rather than substance. The truth, ruth, is that Rapha has substance too, well made, good technical wear and great customer service.
Those that love it wear it, and those that hate it want it.
Mind you, loving my Torm jersey: performance, style and £45

Actually a poor translation from Italian, what he really said was 'it wasn't me, honest'
