I reckon that Barrie's called it a day and want's to sell the Deptford shop, and Tony and his crew have bought the name.
sounds about right. i used to love going into that shop when i was a young lad. it was strange walking in there for the first time after they 'sorted it out' it was as though it had lost all its magic. oh well, i'm sure barry is sitting on a beach somewhere sipping a cocktail as we speak/type. -
i can't remember if it has already been mentioned but you could always get a flip flop hub with one side fixed the other side with a freewheel. just ride ss till you get home and practice fixed in a car park or something.
also, i hear tempertemper has a nice light blue blb frame for sale. you should send him a pm to see if he still has it.

If you don't think you'll be confident in traffic you could try crossing the river over London Bridge (walking to there if you want) and ride (or walk) along the South Bank to Waterloo (past Tate Modern and the Festival Hall etc - wide pedestrian walkways all along there, can avoid all traffic right the way to Waterloo...
whatever you do, don't listen to him! he's trying to lure you into a trap!!! southbank is the zombies favorite place to jump cyclists!(seriously though, that sounds like good advice.)

I'll challenge any of you to a dance machine duel in an arcade......
YouTube - The Jackson 5-Dancing Machine
can you do the moves he's busting from 1:03? i've never gone on one of those thingys, the music on them is awful from what i've heard. do you know if they have any machines with slayer or eye hate god or something?? -

Is it just streetfighter or do you have other games? Such as Williams' mighty Defender?
he's got a load of games (200ish?) i didn't see defender, but he has quite a few classics. it was lots of fun beating charco to a pulp (after he electrocuted himself!?) @charco: thanks for the arcade therapy and get some practice mate... you lose... hahahahahahaha -
