Yup - cable routing is pretty good, although it does make swapping risers etc on the front-end a pain.

Left shifter is, as you say redundant - but gives something to hold onto :)

I think we have 2 or 3 left. We normally have finished by now - but it was put back and we are running them earlier in the evening due to light levels.

Spec as it stands:

2014 SpeedConcept frameset/module - large, with low-far stem and 15mm riser
Prime 50mm wheels - with sketchy disc cover on the rear.
Ultegra 6800 rear mech - with replacement oversized pulleys and mechanical bar end shifters
Sram rival 165mm cranks and 60t narrow wide chainring.

First things I need to address I think are the front-end - the ergo-mono bars aren't narrow or long enough for my liking, so I will be looking at replacing that with the ergo plug-in and using some longer extensions.
Front wheel really needs something more aero - the current one even has round spokes :(
Rear likewise. Spokes not an issue there, but the covers are horrible flexy things and I am not convinced are helping.

I sold my old Planet X exocet2 earlier this year and picked up a speedconcept frame to replace it...
Cue going much slower on my club TTs this year.

Pulled the mattocs apart to up the travel to 140.
Pretty straightforward, although bouncing them up and down on the carpet does seem to have them make a bit more of a squelching/sloshing type noise than before.

I did think i might have a bushing issue with them as there was very slight play when rocking the bike back and forth, but that seemed to vanish the other day... temperature related perhaps?

The exterior finish on some of the old Castle speakers was very good from what I recall.

Converted them to tubeless this morning. Took 3 loops of 32mm tesa tape (on top of the existing tape) before they would seal, as the tyres were rather loose on the rims. Went up OK though with just a track pump and seem to be holding air ok.

Also you would probably die from hyponatremia unless you added salts to your water

Or one of the Atherton frames - 3d printed Ti lugs and carbon tubes with custom fit.... bit pricier though.

Mine lasted 10years of daily use (2-4 cups a day) before the motor failed.

Worth noting that the car doesn't have a sensor to detect the type of fuel, instead it (may) adjust the timing until it either starts to detect knock/detonation and then back it off or reaches the max value. This "learning" can take a while as there is a large lookup table of engine load, rpm and timing that it has to update.

Yeah, that was my thinking tbh, pressures involved are pretty low and the sidewalls look thick and not porous. Just need some more tape, as the tyres went on the rims very easily....

Tyres are Vittoria (GEAX) Goma - which appear to be minion copies I think.
Purchased as they were very cheap from Planet-X...
No suggestion as to whether they are tubeless compatible - the bead is not square like it is on my tubeless corsas.

Thoughts on the safety/advisability of running them tubeless
