Ha! Me...late? Never! That's the coach-dodging part of my commute so all senses are tuned to dealing that. Either that or the merino's affecting my hearing as well now. Frick! I'll keep an eye out for that stickered up "Gangsta" in future.
Well you won't have to look very hard in future, as soon as my new stem turns up I will be rocking bullhorns with super bright pink grip tape. I also wear a bright blue City Sprint jacket as I am an uber fakenger.

How do we do this then Bill?
Rather than just on behalf of the forum, why don't we put the letter on here and all print it out, sign it and send it. If they start to receive hundreds of letters it mght make a bit more of a point. We could also send this to our friends on other bike forums, pass it on to Fixed magazine and websites like London Fixed Gear and Tokyo Fixed gear.
Stickers are good as are laminates at lights as are spoke cards. Hipsters will be crying out for spoke cards! We could also get the messenger community involved too. I work with a lot of courier companies and could probably convince them to carry laminates on their vans etc. Anything and everything is better than nothing. I'd like to keep a few to give to people at lights, especially ones we see doing something stupid.

Wooly jumper?? I'll have you know I was sporting none other than a baselayer made from the finest Merino. I guess I should give up my quest for working temperature-regulating garms and just ride naked. It's for the best.
Is that your daily commute?
Yeah, I know, I was kidding. Yep, Fulham to Canary Wharf - it's rad!

Yep, I've said it before but I see it all the time. I'm beginning to think there should be some kind of cycle test before you're allowed on the streets. RIP to the person killed today, it really is very sad but if there is a left turn at the junction you are waiting at with a lorry, you get the fuck out of the way. I've seen so many cyclists sitting underneath the cab door as a lorry is about to turn left. I saw one of those cyclists beware stickers on an HGV today, i am so careful around them now.

Sahwweeeeet! My first genuine non self-initiated spot. Not the most dignified of spots but I'll take it nonetheless! That's towards the end of my journey to work. By that point I'm usually knackered. What were you riding MacDingaling?
@ Rocksteady - I resent that comment. :P
This is what happens when you ride to work in a wooly jumper! I was at the lights coming from the embankment going away from Chelsea. Thought I'd better not shout anything. Riding a very badly disguised gangster - covered in skate and snowboard stickers.

In answer to my own question:
178
Advanced stop lines. Some signal-controlled junctions have advanced stop lines to allow cycles to be positioned ahead of other traffic.** Motorists, including motorcyclists**, MUST stop at the first white line reached if the lights are amber or red and should avoid blocking the way or encroaching on the marked area at other times, e.g. if the junction ahead is blocked. If your vehicle has proceeded over the first white line at the time that the signal goes red, you MUST stop at the second white line, even if your vehicle is in the marked area. Allow cyclists time and space to move off when the green signal shows.

Are you another of the P-Green massive Emilia? You should join Pigfarmer and I in some late night time trial action.
I think I'm 11 miles each way, Parsons Green to Canary Wharf.
