Perhaps we could combine shipping if you're going to order soon?
Tilover wanted some as well.
I was thinking about two pairs (for two of my bikes) but the yen price on that site works out at about £80, and I suspect they'll get slapped with import duty on top of that...
I might be ordering one pair soonish because the reach on the Noodles I have on my commuter at the moment is really starting to annoy me. I'll PM you and tilover if/when I do.

anyone?
There's the Nitto NEAT M106 NAS that I'm on a mission to acquire, which is a proper compact curve and a 26 clamp:
http://www.alexscycle.com/handlebars/road-1-2/nitto-neat-m106-nas.html
That's the only place I've found it online and it is pretty expensive. I'll probably end up buying from there though.
Otherwise there are a couple of ergo shapes in the NEAT line, if you don't mind an ergo shape:

http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/HBNINM153-40/nitto-neat-153-junior-road-bar---40-cmThe M186 STI and M85 STI-73 are also both ergos with a 122mm drop. It's just a question of getting hold of them. You could also try the NEAT Mod M104:

Building a commuter singlespeed for my brother. Budget ~£400.
Found this on eBay, won for £67. 653 frame & forks, Campag dropouts and Cinelli BB shell.

It's in pretty good nick. Going to do it with risers and build some sensible 36H wheels.
I want to use Nitto B259AA bars but they're 23.8 on the grip area (right?) and I can't find any decent simple flat-bar levers in that clamp size. Don't want the Paul E-Lever as I hate them, and they're expensive. Is there anything else? I'd use Tektro RLs but I don't think the cross lever design that pushes the outer rather than pulling the inner will work with the internal rear brake cable routing. Right? Or is my brain failing?

hail no. At 6'2'' get him a 58. That Cinelli looks nice.
Definitely a 58.
The Cinelli's a nice looking frame and the complete's not a bad build for the money either. I recommended one to a friend of mine the other week - in Wiggle's 20%-off-bikes sale he got the complete for £664.
Obviously there are better options if you're actually racing, but he wanted something good-looking for the commute that he could occasionally stick a rack on and go for long countryside road rides.

Cinelli Gazzetta Strada, if you can find the frameset separately - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/cinelli-gazetta-strada-frame-2011/ ? Surly Pacer? Or yeah, a Guercotti from PX - http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/FRGURE/guerciotti-record-frameset ?

Cheers for this. I'll have a look in the morning. I think I've definitely over-tightened it! :s
You're welcome, it's easy to make a mistake until you realise exactly how they work. I first thought the top cap on a threadless setup did nothing - on the first bike I owned with a threadless headset I used to tighten the stem up without preloading the top cap. Never seemed to get any knocking, but now I know better...

Ok well I've tightened the headset and it's not feeling as free as it once was. It's still smooth but the steering feels a bit dampened. Can you over-tighten a headset for that to happen? Or would you say the bearings are just knackered? This question is open to the whole forum by the way so feel free to chime in, anyone. :)
It's very easy to over-tighten a headset. You want it almost as loose as possible without any play or knocking, otherwise you'll wear the bearings more quickly (and you'll feel friction in the bearings).
The Park Tool explanations are spot on:

In the interest of balance: I have a lot of time for Tokyo Fixed, but I have also had an order with items that were originally marked as "in stock" then not be despatched for over a month. The communication was pretty good, and I was informed there would be a "short delay" and given the option to cancel the order, but it's still not ideal, and there does seem to be a bit of an issue with some emails not being responded to at all.
Still, as I said, I have a lot of time for them and I still use them.
