YouTube - Steel Panther "Death to All But Metal - UNCENSORED"
Seen this last night, thought it was pretty hilarious (lots of NSFW lyrics)
that was fucking hilarious. Spat the tea over the monitor funny. My sort of music video as well. +1 zillion.

I've done a few spin classes. They can be a novel change from riding outside.
All the 'real' cyclists will laugh (roadies, I'm talking 'bout you) but that's because they are afraid to stray outside their little realm of hardcore.
There's plenty of totty viewage at spin class too. Mmm Mmm. :)My SS MTB was 32:15 for the road (now THAT makes you spin!) and 32:17 for dirt 'n' hills.
I run similar on my mountain bike 36:16. To keep up with any one I have to spin as fast as I can for about 30seconds to a minute, let me rest and then do it all again once the bike slows down.

Just had a leaflet through the door from the local plod.
They are going to be having a blitz on pavement cycling in the Cambridge Heath Rd & Bethnal Green Rd areas in the next few months. No doubt there are targets to meets, so expect a few fixed penalty notices and an unusual amount of jobsworthyness.Good.

mediocrity- firstly- the whole car career ladder, first one small runabout, low insurance etc. 5 years into job, mid size, established career-big saloon, money=sports- utter bollocks that kids aspire to.
The whole status symbol bollox does my head in period. I had a "school mate" comment about not having a car or license and that I cruised down his leaving do on my SS mountain bike ..... UTTER CUNT!
The other thing wanky fashion statements .... e.g. My sister was watching some dance off reality TV thing which involved wannabe professional dancers with one person getting kick off each week.
My sister said "Oh yeah, she has ripped jeans with her pockets showing, all the rage fashion in America at the moment." - errr WTF I don't get it..... The only thing I care about when I stick my clothes on is whether they are clean or not and I don't look like a tramp.Oh yeah ... fucking Easter eggs ... I am 25 years old, don't like chocolate (especially cadbury's) and I have 4 Easter eggs beside my desk.

+1 to Prime heretic.
I only run a front brake on my single speed, but I've been doing it for years, and cycling in general for years longer. I don't recommend it for everyone or for all situations, but if the circumstances are right, it's your call. Even on my geared road bike, I usually use the front for most of my braking.
I'm not 90% of the cyclists out there and probably not even 99% for that matter, so I'm not advising this for anyone. Oh, and as for the fashion bit, sure the one brake looks better than two, but I'll take my style points elsewhere.
It depends on: a) the skill of the rider, b) the circumstances, c) the quality of the components, d) a helmet for when the first three aren't going your way.
I ridden months on a geared racer without a fully functioning rear brake. Whether it is dangerous or not is debatable. However when the front brake cable goes you won't be putting your feet on the floor when rolling (v.slowly) down hills.
