That choccy stout's nice. Pretty heavy though. I don't think they actually put chocolate in it. It's something to do with how they roast the malt that give's it the chocolate flavour.
Titanic stout has a nice chocolate flavour too (you can buy bottles from morrison's supermarket if your interested and haven't tried it)

Don't buy the white ones - they discolour and go a very unappealing shade of what decorators refer to as* piss yellow*.
I always buy black as I get quite sweaty in the summer and you can't see the sweat quite as much when off the bike with black.
DJ - I would love to be able to afford top of range merino, but sadly for me, that's not an option. Even sale stuff is too expensive (unless you can direct me to somewhere where i can get merino for £8)

Bamboo is a cotton type fabric, just less tendency to hold bacteria that cause bo.
Merino has this property (but better) and much much better wicking.
I would never wear a bamboo t shirt I stead of a merino one for a base layer
Niether would i if i could afford £30 - £45 a pop for a t-shirt. Whilst the wicking on merino is better, bamboo wicking ain't half bad.

Clefty, I ordered Large... will wear it down when I get it :)
So ... interesting, I always did wonder how you can buy polo shirts from Ralph Lauren that are identical to Lacoste ones. They are same type materials, look the same, except one has a RL logo, the other a Lacoste one. Isn't this vaguely similar ?
Mind, I do admit that the same factory, the same cloth is a bit close to the knuckle. However, I'm sure a lot of the branded clothing out there is all mass-produced in the same place as well.
I guess the difference here is, they arn't all owned by the LVMH group, rather small independant companies. Mind, a lot of the bags shown off on here are very similar. A jersey is a jersey. If they removed the strips, would Rapha then keep moaning ? (It would look more like a black Assos then)
As per BDW, Rapha have already ripped off another company, so pot kettle black ?
I suppose it's like those cheese and onion sandwiches you get from all the suppermarket's. All made in one factory with clients logo on the packaging.

I'm sure we'd all like a cupboard full of Rapha merino base layers but if your skint like me that's not happening. Even other cheaper merino could be considered pricey if you have n't got any money.
I've been wearing bamboo fabric t -shirt's all summer. Similar in properties to merino but a fraction of the price.
"bamboo fabric is pretty amazing: it is soft yet stands up to wear, it wicks sweat away from the skin. as a natural insulator it will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter, it naturally resists odder, and it's sustainable."
Some indepth info on bamboo

Fleabay £8 a t-shirt, you cant go wrong!
Even though I'm a big fan of bamboo, it's not quite as good as merino. Doesn't keep you as warm in winter as merino although it does a good job (but will keep you as cool in summer) and the antibacterial properites arn't as good. With my one and only icebreaker merino if i wear it for a couple of days then leave it on the side for a couple of days the stink completely goes away. This doesnt really happen with my bamboo t's, although it's antibacterial properties are miles better than cotton or synthetic fabric i've tried.
Bamboo does have a couple of advantages over merino though. If your allergic to wool you probably wont be allergic to bamboo fabric. Bamboo is very soft to the touch almost like silk which i like.

The best Sam Smiths pub is The Angel on Bermondsey Wall East. Brilliant views of the riverside and quite comfy. Before the changed the pumps I did always like to ask for a pint of "man in a blue box".
+1
Short ride for me (near burgess park) so I'm always in there. £2.41 for a pint of stout - Bargain. Nice too

Specialized BG Sport 2010 MTB Shoes Size Eu44/Uk 10 £50
Sorry about the quality of the piccy, my camera isnt very good
I've worn these twice, they're virtually as good as new. They have zero scuffs on the upper. No walking wear on the sole/heel luggs. One very small (less than a centimetre) nick on the body of the sole of the left foot and slight indentations from cleats (speedplay frog - not included) on both feet

I love wool, especially merino. Ice breaker merino tights cost about £40, I'd love to buy some but am skint at mo but have bee using merino, gloves, t-shirt, jumper, and buff (and a wool chuey cap) to keep me nice and warm this winter, and it stays warm when wet. Personally i hate those booties so have been wearing two pairs of M&S lambs wool socks (£7.50 for a pack of two) even when my feet get soaked, again wool'll keep em warm.

Then explain to me the reaction of most of the forum to devolving the power to issue on the spot fines for RLJ to council officers in Westminster?
I obviously cant speak for others on the forum, but personally i take issue with the increasing devolvement of legal powers to "officials", such as pcso's and council officers who will be signifacantly less well trained than a police officer, rather than with the actual fine itself.

"The maximum punishment will be increased from two to five years in jail under the proposals to strengthen the law against reckless driving."

Road danger reduction at source would of course be by far the best scenario:
In the absence of this, we do to some extent have to rely on enforcing existing laws. Are you suggesting we shouldn't enforce laws against speeding, and if so, what would your positive suggestion be for improving 'road safety'? Or am I misunderstanding you?
I completely agree with you oliver, reducing road danger at source would be the best bet and I'm definately not suggesting we shouldnt enforce the laws against speeding.
What I'm saying is that the National Gov't have clocked onto the fact that speeding ticket can raise revenue, in effect a stealth tax. If speeding tickets actually worked the number of tickets would have decreased rather than increased - a speeding ticket as a deterrent is cleary not working. But polticians can then crow "were doing stuff" as usual whilst revenue raising. If for example, youimmediatly got 3 points on your liscence for every speeding offence, I suggest this would be far more effective. But this would be far too politically unpopular/difficult to implement. People grumble about a speeding fine but pay it and get on with it and HM Treasury is quids in
I'm not an expert on road safety but i would welcome anything that reduces accidents on the roads such as traffic calming measures like speed bumps or chicanes (where appropriate) or the recently inroduced 20mph speed zone, which a recent study suggests can cut road injuries by 40%.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8406569.stm
However things that reduce injuries and death on the roads are often expensive and strangely enough unpopular with motorists, motoring organisations and more importantly powerful motoring lobby/pressure groups who HM Gov'ment definatley listen to (mostly i think because anything which reduces death and injury usually involves reducing motor speed, and we cant have that now can we). Just note from the evening standard article:
"But motoring organisations immediately criticised the scheme for unfairly penalising drivers and raised concerns over how it will be enforced."
"Drivers accept restrictions in sensitive areas outside schools and hospitals but a blanket ban causes a lot of frustration as without cameras you're looking at speed bumps and chicanes, which are almost equally unliked."
Unliked! So whats this numpty from the RAC saying, speed reduction zones, speed bumps and chicanses so less death and mayhem = bad. Unrestricted speed around residential roads and lots of death and mayhem =good.
I'm sure there are other ways to reduce road deaths and injuries which have never even been implemented simply because it would be 'politically unpopular' to do so.

Yawnnnnnn ;p
:0) Yeah, I know my money=power statement was a little trite (although not any less true).
Lets put it another way. Politians love to be to be seen to be 'doing stuff', "tough on crime" "creating jobs" "education, education, education" and to do this you need cash, lots of it - this is where your RLJing fines are going

Dont think I could physically manage a session on the youngs choccy. I once had a pint with a bit of dinner at the clockhouse on dulwich common followed by a pint of guiness. I was so full up cuz of the choccy i couldnt finish the guiness
