The inauguration isn't until late January or February? so he's not quite president yet just guaranteed himself the spot. Look at the exit polls, all the people with guns didn't vote for Obama , I'd recon he'll need some heavy security.
Bushs' ratings are 1 point lower then Nixions' the day before he resigned at the moment and it was a case of anyone but them.
not relevent but a chance to show chappelle:

@ Pistonator:There are parts of my fingers regret going as far as Camberwell tonight, wow i'm so wet & purple i'd to get my house-mates to pull my gloves and socks off. But a reserved turn out tonight considering the weather. Had fun regardless. Anyone up for critical mass and/or pumkin ally cat friday from SE drinks?

^^ it's really hard to see your picture but i think i can assume the it's one of those tensioners that pull the chain up toward the chainstay? I used one of those for a while, but ended changing to the surly singulator as it still left a little too much slack. But as you made it yourself and it works then well done, how is it working out?

There seems to be a lot of hostility on here recently.
If your (i use this in a broad sense & is not directed at anyone) going to be aggressive please reserve behavior to lurking and search functions. I'm sure virtually every possible SS/Fixed question has already been answered quite a few times.
If the question is on a very specific subject to you by all means post it, but please refrain from getting upset when the hardcore on here feel you maybe be doing it for reasons of style (which there's no denying is popular) and to use a hackneyed phrase, HTFU & just cycle.
This whole 'fakengers vs hipsters' is a bit Quadrophenia and doesn't help anybody.

Er.... those bikes are proper ugly, mine should hopefully be all black with 3 gold parts, no bling machine, basically the obey but minus the bars and seatpost.
The black/gold Obey is really ugly, (there are a few on here who do like it), but with the FTSE 100 now at 3883.36 i can see why you would melt down all your gipsy gold to make a track bike to hold up it's own against the international gold standard.
"no bling machine"??? only highly polished platinum is more bling then gold, but at least that's less kitsch. I would normally not mind what people do with bikes but this is so kitsch. (but this is a good place to ask questions, so ignore the judgemential attatudes and you'll get good advice.)

I agree with Messenjah. There is evidence that the severity of auto accidents increases and work productivity decreases as people adjust to the time change, also this whole daylight saving is unnecessary, electrical reduction by the shift these days is minimal, it adds to inconsistency in a general world time too as many countries don't recognize daylight saving uniformly. The whole dark going to work & dark coming home (associated with winter anyway) is worsened which is depressing.
