I think I'm getting a bit carried away overstocking on tweed having got a jacket and trous and now bidding on a suit on the bay so may have some spare if needed.

Lunch beforehand sounds like a wheeze are we polling for location?

I'm going to use some corks and trim them down. No chance of getting normal ends in the way I've finished them off

But how do you fit straps. I've got MKS pedals, Christophe clips and some lovely leather straps and being the rather slow witted chump that I am cannot figure out how these blend together into pedalmagic.

Sorry, but I've only ever ridden clipless so really have not got a clue.

I've actually been doing some sun sketches today, thanks to your post mr littigator.

But I'm not thinking of the charinring as being the sun, but more like some one put it in front of part of the sun and the rays are extending behind it...

looks more interesting than it sounds, really.

That and i've been painting some really frightening rabbits.

It never ceases to amaze me how fast they open up. That wasn't there at all three weeks ago. I came back from holiday last week and it must be 2 foot round and at least 2 inches deep.

as every gentleman knows, pinstripe is business wear and thus not appropriate on the weekend. having said that, the ride will be going through the city of london so we will make the exception.

See I like that a lot...the way the sprocket integrates with the heart shape is kind of what I'm thinking for a sun and sprocket but my artistic skills ran out somewhere around the time I was 7

might be a bit much just to win some prize that's likely to worth less than the cost of getting your bike ready for the tweed run.

Don't get me wrong here because I think it's amazing you've managed to get sponsorship and prizes arranged for this and I know its going to be a hoot so I'd be coming anyway, prizes or not. But, are these going to be prizes that anyone who makes an effort can win, not just who has the most money and therefore nicest bike? (I know there are exceptions to that last rule but you know what I mean). Again, I would hate to think I was playing down what lengths you have gone to, just a query that popped into my head.

Personally, I'm remortgaging the house to ensure I have every single bit of perfect kit (bike included) needed, you should take you cycling more seriously!
