Rastafari Greetings to Each and Everyone,
First of all a very happy new year to you – let us give thanks that we have made it through to another year.
Some lovely posts and photos above and on previous pages… Just to echo those sentiments – what a lovely ride.
Got up there on time, having had a nice quiet ride on festive streets. We set off probably at least 50 strong, only to grind to a halt almost immediately after a spectacularly loud blow out. A festive gift of inner tube , loan of mini track pump and expertly fixed by the lovely Digger and Paula was sorted. Pink bikes Rock!
On we rolled through quiet streets where if we had to stop or meet cars etc, it was cool, because it was a lovely mild day, we’re having a nice ride oh and it was ‘Christmas’. We manage to be kind, polite etc to people in public for one day a year. The best present you can have is to keep those lovely vibes in to the next day, then the next. There is no reason why they shouldn’t last. Rasta is for life and not just for Christmas.
We had a nice tea stop in Camden which was deserted. Only on this day is it so quiet. JD also offered riders a lavatory break – how kind.
Then rode back to towards St Pauls and over Millenium bridge where ride was to finish. Got separated from the peleton at this point. Met John and one other rider and headed south towards home.
Cracker joke
Q – What are Object’s favourite biscuits?
A – Waif- ers…
It really was a magic ride. A great honour and pleasure riding and chatting with you on this and all of the other rides I have been on.
Distance = 35.4 m
Total miles for 2011 = 2884.21 m
Total number of times pedals gone round in 2011 = 801,810.
Keep up the good vibes we had on that day. Keep on cycling.
Peace and Love,
Tim -
Greetings folks,
Well what a ride...
Very small group - It was the Magnificent Seven,
and as a result the ride was quick paced. Sorry we lost you Jim...
Nice bit of train spotting knowledge at 23 Leinester Gardens - check it people great industrial heritage....
Nice trip around Barbican, city etc.
Sorry about this but I just cannot check for what happened at the end along the Embankment....
For me it is peace and love to one and all out there, no matter what the provocation or not as the case may be.
I went home feeling ashamed to be part of LFGSS.
I said I would go on Waifs and Strays and I keep my word, so I will see you on the 25th.
I think I'll leave it at that.
Rastafari greetings to one and all.
More love on the road,
Tim -

Enjoyed the Rocky rip off – again really good bike jokes in all the right places.

Then it was bring on the music. Enjoyed being given the chance to run some reggae. Tunes in no particular orderOur Father – Della Grant

Rastafari greetings to each and everyone,
Just to let you know that there are only 44 days left until Babylonian Christmas.
So the great news is that it is only 45 days until it’s all over!
Whether you like Christmas or not, if you are in babyLon-don, do come along for the most amazing ride. The streets are completely deserted and it’s lovely cycling...
Just to re-iterate this ride is for everyone free on Christmas morning, not just those who dislike our festive traditions.
Please do come along... you got to do something whilst the turkey is in the oven...
Peace and Love to one and all,
Tim -
Rastafari greetings folks,
Just to echo the sentiments above.....
This is really is a top quality ride.
For those that do do Christmas this is a great way to build up an appetite for the culinery business later and is pretty much over by midday.
For those that don't do Christmas please come along. It is such a brilliant day for a bike ride.
Nice one Object..... Great work as always.
See you on the non festive startline.
Peace and Love to one and all,
Tim -

Greetings folks,
I would be delighted for Peace and Love-ly Tailoring to be shown.
On the DJ front- if you would like some roots rock reggae, then I am your man (I only play records though, so not sure if that is possible at LMNH...). If not that is cool. Please let me know...?
Give thanks,

Greetings folks,
Well I thought I should do a little match report on the Sunchasers program on Saturday.
Got up to the Barbican to find Laura and Tibbs sipping coffee in the entrance hall. His film had gone down well the night before (congratulations....!!!) and I think the LFGSS party had gone down rather well too....
I brought along my wife, two Bredrins and a friend and his daughter, we all got in, lights down and then the credits rolled.
The first film – Save the bike lane was a rather slick film with lots of track bikes and not many brakes about the bike lanes of Seoul.
Next up was My crazy life about a BMX rider. It was bit like a red bull advert / pop video following him around the world. Nice young lad and clearly on top of his sport. I was feeling pretty middle aged as I thought how can you let them film your room with mess, washing and cans of drinks all over the place. For me I have to make sure the hoovering, washing up etc is all done, otherwise I cannot concentrate on the ride.
Well next up was Peace and Lovely Tailoring. It seemed to go down well and we got the first round of applause of the afternoon. I could hardly bear to watch, but felt very proud and a little bit terrified.
Next up was Sunchasers, an hour long film about 3 ladies at varying points of their cycling careers coping with their disability, life etc as they built up to the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. It was a nice film, triumph over adversity type thing. I particularly liked Barbara, who’s life was completely changed by a horrific crash as a top able bodied cyclist. Since then she has gradually put her life back on track and is now back on a bike.
So then the credits rolled and we hung on to do a bit of basking in the glory aka having a coffee and chatting stuff. As I headed home with my wife and Bredrin we saw people outside I think getting ready for the messenger race in Silk Street.
Now back at work after a great weekend and dreaming about doing our next film hopefully before next spring. It has been a wonderful time and we thank again those who gave us the chance to do this and have it screened... It has taken my mind off the heavier things I have to deal with in life. My two Bredrins who came had never been to the Barbican before so that is good for them. We also had roots rock reggae blasting out the Barbican, if only for a few minutes, so again that is good for Rasta and for people who have not come across it before.
Big thanks again to everyone who gave us the chance.
Big thanks to the forum for the friendly support.
Peace and Love,
Tim -
