Greetings folks,
I wanted to cobble a little post together to say what an absolutely brilliant day it was on Sunday!!!
I had a great time and found I got my tactics just right - set off early with a bunch of riders, get dropped, tag along with another group, get dropped, tag along etc etc... reach the finish - thanks to those who got me through the central and east bits.
On reflection I can say that I didn't enjoy the cobbles, but found the hills alright. Beaten by Mount Canobie, but got up all the others.
Massive big ups to all the organisers, Brixton Cycles and all riders who did this...
To top the day off I won the last prize in the raffle - a pair of tyres which went to the lovely Digger as they will fit his bikes.
50 miles completed and a great day on bikes in sunny Babylon-don.
This was a top quality ride folks put it your diaries for next year...
Peace and Love,
Tim -

Greetings folks,
Once again John - many thanks for organising a great ride.... Bailed after Battersea Park but I loved it - highlights in no particular order
Millennium bridge
Cycling round in circles at Tate Modern
Going as fast as possible along Embankment and over a few of the bridges
Chatting to a fellow rider who having asked me my forum name, asked what is your real name?
Give thanks,
Tim -
Greetings folks,
This sounds great - in.Warning - Sorry to stick my oar in... but it's the day of the boat race - Oxford and Cambridge appear to have got to the final again, so you might see a few Oxbridge revellers who have enjoyed themselves a bit too much on the razz from Putney onwards.

Greetings folks,
First of all Ma3k-i-mum respect to John for organising this one....
Give thanks to everyone who came out for a lovely ride.... Really enjoyed going around the Olympic park and also Woolwich ferry, both of which were first time experiences for me.
Good work for turning out people and let's have another Sunday social ride like this soon.
Peace and love,
Tim -
Greetings folks,
It's Howies selvedge and the odd bit from American Classics for me.
Er - why doesn't someone organise a 'Denim ride'. A bit like the first tweed run where you dress up, meet at a certain place, but it stills feels a bit clandestine.
It is a great fabric and deserves some respect...
Just a thought and up for it if it gets off ground.
Give thanks,
Tim -

Greetings folks,
This sounds great. Personally I celebrate Orthodox Christmas on 7th of January.A bit of info for those who are interested in Ethiopian Christmas....
Ithiopian Christmas day is on January 7th of the Gregorian Calendar or Tahsas 29th of the Ithiopian Calendar. This is the date that Christmas was originally celebrated and still is in most Orthodox Christian troditions.] Ithiopian names for Christmas are Liddet, Genna and also Qiddus Bala Wald. Genna is preceded by a fast of 40 days. There are many fast days in the Orthodox Christian Calendar. Christians fast every Wednesday and Friday all year round. On fast days Ethiopians eat only one meal in the evening. This must not contain meat or dairy foods. Sometimes fish is also avoided. After a large meal on Christmas Eve, Ithiopian Christians go to Church and spend the night praying. Modern Churches are designed in three concentric circles. Men and boys sit separately from women and girls. The choir sings from the outside circle. As the people enter the church they are given candles which are then lit. Everyone then walks around the church three times. The congregation remain standing for Mass which can last up to three hours. Food eaten at Christmas is the standard Ithiopian menu of injera, a pancake like bread made from a local grain called t'ef, and wat, a spicy stew. The injera is used to scoop up the wat. The meal is served in beautifully decorated baskets Only the children receive presents. This is usually something simple such as clothes. Children also play a game at this time of year called Genna. It is similar to hockey. So, 25.12.10 is just a normal day for me. I will see you there at 9 am.
Give thanks,
Tim- em

Greetings folks,
I know counting the pennies is in vogue at present what with the economy, public spending cuts and the general fall of Babylon...
On that tip, I thought you would like to know that the budget for this film was a massive £11.30.
For the auditors/ paperclip counters that was as follows - £6.30 for a travelcard, £5 for a taxi ride - this was for Joe to carry his camera kit.
Thanks for the good vibes shout Ade. As Rasta it is love to our friends and more love to our enemies... As it says in the film, there is so much more to Rasta than just dreadlocks and ganja...
Peace and Love everytime,
Tim -
Greetings folks,
You might remember a Rasta with camera shooting at the ride in April.
Well, we have finally finished the film.
It is titled ' Peace and Love-ly Tailoring' and is a pro- cycling health film, made by a Rasta.
It's on this threadhttp://www.lfgss.com/thread51811.html
Peace and Love,
