Are we distinguishing between score and soundtrack?
It's perhaps a little... whimsical but I bloody love Yann Tiersens work - saw him on tour in 2006 and he blew me away. So:
Amelie, Goodbye Lenin, Tabarly etc.
His live stuff is actually much "rockier" and less accordion based - very guitarcentric so I can understand that some might find one of his styles preferable to the other.
But personally I reckon the best soundtrack EVER (science fact) is for... drumroll....

I had brief foray into fencing a couple of years ago with a chap I went to uni with, Laurence Halsted.
Although he was obviously quite good, it was very evident that I was shit and that there is an enormous amount of skill, dedication and patience that goes into achieving high standards in the sport.
Much rep to you, sir, for moving up to 21st. -

This made me laugh:
• Do practise your "track stands": this is the old fashioned skill of coming to a complete halt and balancing stationary to psych out your opponent. It's pointless, but looks cool.

I live five minutes walk from Turnpike lane and can confirm that it is generally suitably cheap/decent distance etc plus it's got good bus and tube links to central and west. And of course it's close to some bloody lovely parks.
haringey ftw [don't let the fact I'm moving away in about 3 weeks dissuade you] -
Is it anything from this page?

The above comment is about as useful as this thread.

Don't bring your bike - London's shit. It's literally EXACTLY like this:
YouTube - The Fast Show: Chris The Crafty Cockney s03e01
And I literally never use the word "literally" so you must know I mean business.
Said it before but it's just as relevant here.
Get a car or walk everywhere. No one actually cycles in London. Even couriers get taxis.
