Before I buy new on ebay does anyone have an old BMX brake caliper lying around? Needs to bolt to a single central hole as the frame has no other mounts.

I was one of those kids who bought and painted whatever GW miniatures he liked the look of but never got into gaming because it looked too complicated. I did play a bit of D&D in my teens.

Fast forward to lockdown internet browsing and I discovered Gaslands and Zona Alfa, I've been along to a couple of games clubs to play Gaslands but ZA is still just a rulebook and pile of unpainted miniatures at the moment.

I went on Jonathan O'Keeffe's Strava multiple ride mapper webpage for the first time in ages and the transparency and width sliders seem to be missing so it's hard to see all the routes I've ridden. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is a great idea. I might try this in Oxford. I've already done the ring road and all the main roads from the ring road to the centre so now I could start working on filling in each section like a giant Trivial Pursuit game.

I have a 51cm flat bar conversion cyclocross bike which is a bit big for me but I'm just using it as a beater/pub bike, is it going to be ok to put an 80mm stem on to shorten the reach, or will it do something horrible to the geometry? Thanks.

If I detach a brake hose from Tektro Auriga hydraulic brakes and reattach it do I have to replace the barb and olive or can I get away with re-using the same ones?

The old Oxford Cycle Workshop alleycats used to be fun, very much like a casual treasure hunt rather than a flat out courier race, and as a result that attracted a wide range of people. Would be good to see something happening and get pootling around Oxford again.

Do the Broken Spoke organise any events like this?

Sadly I haven't actually ridden for a few years after a back injury so I'd have no chance of even reaching the Chilterns or Cotswolds. I'd be interested in alleycats or very casual rides though as I'd like to get back on a bike.

Does anyone have an old single hole mounted rear caliper brake for a BMX kicking around? The sort of thing that came on old BMXs, cheap MTBs etc. It's for a beater that we found dumped at work so rusty/cheap/free would be ideal.

I'm also after an old pair of grips, again condition isn't important. Cheers.

I remember a good few years ago frames like the On-One Pompino and Planet X Kaffenback 2 seemed popular for budget builds/winter bikes/tourers etc but neither seem to be available any more. Are there any similar versatile budget frames around these days?
