Try putting the word out amongst your friends/family that you're looking for an old racing bike, you never know who might have one sitting in their shed, also try your local freecycle group.
If you can get your hands on one then you have almost everything you need to build your first fixie, the only thing you'll need to get is a fixed rear wheel. Then you'll have something unique that you built yourself, rather than just another off the peg bike.

I went to 4 Galstonburys in the 90's and I never plan to go to one of these mainstream festivals again, so many stella drinking idiots in sunhats getting wasted and putting on fake Northern accents because they think it sounds cooler.
Give me a Folk festival anyday, pub sessions and Morris dancing are much more my scene.

Welcome to the forums.
Another option for a cheap and quick way into fixiedom would be to find an old 10 speed road bike with slotted rear dropouts and convert it.
Buy a rear wheel with a fixed hub, then take off all the bits you don't want (derraileurs, rear brake, shifters etc) and bingo! A cheap fixie that will also be more unique that many of the OTP bikes you see being ridden around.

Just posting to see if there's any interest before it goes on ebay.
Peugeot gents bike, about 1979-83 as far as I can tell. Swept back handlebars, chrome mudguards, 10 speed. Retro faded gold/bronze colour. Frame has a bracket on the seatstay for a light.
Bit tatty but might make a good pub bike/polo bike/French onion sellers bike etc
Bike is in Addlestone, Surrey, 30 mins on the train from Waterloo or I can deliver in Surrey/SW London for a price.
Offers.

Glad you got your bike back, and well played.I can't believe I haven't taken photos of the frame numbers on my bikes. I'm going to do that tonight.
