Apart from the obvious reasons of less pedal strike and toe overlap (and maybe faster spinning?), are there any other reasons to have shorter cranks?
it seems to me that have more leverage would be advantageous from standing starts..

If its only turning half way, try rotating the key left and right and pushing it in. Sometimes if you don't fully insert the key it only turns some of the notches(whatever) inside the barrel, leaving maybe one or two in the locked position. You need to jiggle the key to turn them all back to locked position then fully insert the key and turn them all to unlocked.

they do different models (see the site), a thicker pair and a fingerless pair.
they are well built and feel tough. nice bit of proper padding on the knuckles, but everywhere else is just thick synthetic material.

went to try a pair of these on today, seemed nice but didn't buy. yet.

try putting on nitrile/latex gloves on underneath your actual gloves.
I find it keeps your hands warm but, most importantly, nice and supple when you take them off.

just get 292, 1mm will make no difference
