this is my parents' boston terrier, annie, they got her after my younger sister went to college to help alleviate empty nest syndrome. now they are seriously obsessed. this is the dog that made me love dogs.

i threw in one of my sister's italian greyhound, giuseppe. she is cruel, but he is also the wimpiest dog ever. he won't go outside in the winter if he's not dressed like that.

pajamas, my original comment wasn't directed only at you, and yeah i have been here for 7 months not 7 years but it's certainly been long enough to walk into a shop, ride down the street, see the headlines, etc, and during that time i haven't felt oppressed by the media barrage or whatever because i've chosen to ignore it/not worry about it when i am confronted with it. and i know essentially nothing about jade's american counterparts as well and i lived there for quite a long time. it just seems like a waste of time and energy to really care about these people - whether you are a tabloid reader or a tabloid hater, i'd think you could agree with that.

7 months is kind of a while. i know very little about american celebrity culture, too... i see what you're saying about it affecting the way kids act and raising a shitty new generation that we all have to be around, but as far as feeling personally surrounded by the stuff, well, i think it's super easy to avoid it that's all.

i didn't know who jade goody was until about a month ago when i heard some people talking about her so i googled her to see who she was. just sayin. this shit is pretty easy to ignore. and yea she seems like a pretty crappy person, but i doubt her life was filled with much real joy - even before the cancer. it's all a very sorry story and in my opinion it's not even really worth making jokes or getting pissed off over it.

today saw carlos & tika at broadway market then cake (well was meeting him there), photoben & sano at brick lane, nhatt on hackney road.... a few nice fixed bikes in/around clissold park and a chap with a cool older green frame, well saw the frame locked up in stoke newington during the day, then saw him on it later and had a chat at the lights on theobald's road. what a great day.

carlos, it was great to see you today and rather sad to hear this news. stupid uk visa people. good thing america is so awesome. looking forward to the 4th for sure!
