SWB, older diamond frame with uncrown fork, so not huge tyres I believe (at least at the back). I think I'd keep a bike with suspension and this would replace my "touring" bike, which doesn't really see any touring but does see some commuting. After a few years riding proper dutch cargo bikes for work my back doesn't seem to get on with a road position for more than a few hours.
Krampus just felt a bit heavy and imprecise. Didn't really like it's charge at stuff and hope the big tyres get you through approach. I imagine the Jones front end feels quite a bit lighter and manoeuvrable.
This is all quite speculative and reliant on selling about three other bikes.

I've been riding a Rohloff lately that is quite noisy in certain gears, very much a freehub ratcheting sort-of sound. I've ridden others in the past that didn't seem to have this. It's now done around 4000km so should be broken in. Anyone experienced similar? It'll be due an oil change shortly so I'll see if that quietens things down.

This one?
https://www.wiggle.co.uk/brand-x-ascend-cx-dropper-seatpost-85-105mmah yes, this is the one I want. Thanks. I was looking at the slightly cheaper Ascend II, which has the same dimensions but a different lever.

Sticking these in here before making a proper ad:
I have a few matching cantilever race bikes for sale if anyone's interested.
56cm Kinesis C Six 2 carbon frames, Sram Force groupset (1x11), TRP brakes, Thompson seatposts, Ritchey WCS stems and bars, SLR saddles. Challenge Limus tubulars (one pair pretty much new, one quite used) on Forza wheels (budget, but reasonable).
They've done half a season of racing, so could probably do with a once over before next year, but bearings all feel okay. Ideal for racing and for #discbrakesaredead participation (n.b. there is brake shudder, not a problem whilst racing but perhaps does not make these ideal "gravel" bikes).
£800 for the pair, or £500 each. Currently in Bristol and ideally collected from here, though I will be making a trip to London at some point in the future. Sold without pedals.

I think it's different, definitely looks quite different. I could, in theory, use magura levers and shimano calipers, but for this purpose that's not really worthwhile.
