Will these protect my cleats? I can't seem to find out what they actually meant to do (stabilize whilst walking!?) but they seem to have some big rubber bits that might make walking in road shoes possible, as well as slowing down cleat wear a little. I assume atac and spd cleats are close enough to allow for some cross-compatability.

Anyone got them and can confirm they'll work?

haha so your 1st project will be changing the tape to boring black? i think the benotto barbertape's a rather nice touch! should i glue it on hahaha ;-)

Maybe. Eventually. I'll see how it looks in person.

Plans are to (probably) swap the saddle to a turbo, possibly change the bar tape (i've got some spare boring black cloth tape around), and then lots of long summer rides!

I'm currently on Miche hubs, my chainline's perfect with a 115mm axle, but that's with shaved Campag Strada cranks.

I run the same (but with formula hubs) due to clearance issues. It's not perfect but not as bad as I was expecting having run the same setup on a previous bike with 111 mm bottom bracket, certainly livable.

Used a veloce bottom bracket for around 2 years, no problems.

it's a track frame but the back of the chainring bolts contact the chainstay with the correct length of BB; it's a few millimeters out with the longer BB and a bit noisy. It's also a new chain and chainring too so things will (hopefully) bed down a little in time.

chainline's not perfect but it'll be OK until I get round to redishing the wheel or getting someone to put a dimple in my chainstay.

It's going to be for flat bars so probably not. I'll get back to you about the caliper if I can't find anything else though.

After a bike for my sister, she doesn't want to spend too much money, preferably under 120 pounds.

A range of things considered, provided it doesn't have a super-aggressive position. She'll probably ride a single-speed as long as it's not geared too high, but gears would be best.

yup, I'm aware of that - first thing I bought from them turned out to not be in stock, kindly they took 4 days to make me aware of this. Phoned them before I made this order and they said it's definitely in stock, guess they're just being slow.

Anyone ordered from cyclingbargains recently? It's been 6 days now and still no sign of my BB being posted.

Wouldn't recommend it, specially if you ever skid. In my experience puncture-resistant tubs tend to have none of the benefits of a good tubular tyre anyway, more hassle than they're worth.
