You might be able to get in touch through Pearsons in Sutton - I think there's some connection there. Good luck.
Ahh you may be onto something there. When I took my Bob Jackson in to be finished off, Guy Pearson mentioned a someone local who could do it but expect to pay £150+ for the down tube. Looks like Bob Jackson will be repairing it.

Does anyone have any experience of this frame builder? I've been tipped off by a friend who says they're in the Surrey area.

Reason I ask is because my Rourke Lo Pro has a crack in the down tube that I need replacing and as money is rather tight at the moment, I'd rather not spend £30 just to send it off to someone like Bob Jackson.
I'd possibly be up for replacing the horizontal dropouts for some track ends but they're chrome at the moment and this could end up being costly.
So far BJ have quoted me £150 for Paul track ends and £70 for tube replacement. Rourke want £100 for the tube replacement.

The Langster carbon fiber fork offers a stiff yet vibration-damping ride.
The 3D-forged alloy Road Stem uses a 31.8mm bar clamp area for an extra-numb steering connection.
The rounded form of the Steel Track handlebar is a classic; it’s overclumsy, 31.8mm stem-clamp area means steering is ultra-numb.Honestly, the paintjob looks like shit (worse than the London IMO), they offer such a numb riding experience and the frame looks like it's melting with its cack geometry. This comes from a former owner who is glad he found his way onto steel.
It looks pretty sick - as in vomit covered?
Had a Langster (the green one), liked it. Tires are shit (replace), saddle shit (but useable), flip the freewheel, loose the back brake and ride fixed. Bottom bracket not good either. As an introduction to riding fixed I enjoyed it.
Spot on.

Fucking hell. I'm not at all surprised though. These things aren't necessarily racially motivated, although this was. I've had eggs thrown at me from 'grown men' in Transit vans.
He could report it but the police won't do shit and if they do miraculously capture the culprit, our judicial system won't do anything. I have very little faith in this country any more.

The video was a fantastic tribute and was beautifully made. Gutted I couldn't make it that day. You guys should be proud of the good work you do.

They didn’t talk much in the morning in the flat in Kentish Town, north London, that Eilidh Cairns shared with her friends. Who does? On the bitterly cold morning of February 5, though, Eilidh told her sister, who was staying, not to fret, that she looked good for a meeting but that she “shouldn’t wear boots with that suit”. Eilidh lent her sister a cool pair of shoes.
She set off on her usual route of nearly 10 miles to her office in Chiswick, a journey she often made with her boyfriend Giles as far as Connaught Street, near Marble Arch, before they parted ways. She rode a “pretty damn cool” Daniel Salmon fixie in metallic pastel shades and was a good cyclist.
A few months earlier Giles had forwarded her a piece on a courier webzine, Moving Target, about HGV blind spots.
At Notting Hill Gate, Eilidh slowed at the pedestrian crossing outside Waterstone’s, and there, at 8.58am, she got stuck on the driver’s side and was dragged under the wheels of a tipper lorry. The fire brigade cut her free and she was taken to the Royal London hospital in Whitechapel. At 10.59am she died. The driver is on police bail pending the investigation.Eilidh’s memory is very much alive, not just for her family and many friends, but for anyone who passes the memorial that has sprung up on a traffic island near where the collision happened: it includes a pair of bright pink wheels, photographs, candles, memories and flowers.
On March 7, about 300 of her family, friends and fellow cyclists rode her route to work in her memory, gathering at the traffic island.
I met Don Simpson, the investigating officer, as he trawled the shops for any CCTV that might explain why a sensible and experienced cyclist was involved in an accident of this nature. No witnesses to the collision have come forward. HGVs are involved in more than 50% of London cycle deaths, according to Transport for London.
Eilidh’s sister, Kate, said: “The government is trying to encourage everyone to reduce their carbon emissions. Cyclists are doing their bit every time they choose to get on their bikes. Instead of being made safe they are being penalised. More to protect cyclists.”
Eilidh died at 30. She loved life-affirming activity: sailing, snowboarding and, that simple pleasure more and more of us are discovering, cycling.

Elk hide Sew-on from fresh tripe or velo orange.

Heres mine, (brown darkened with neatsfoot oil).Nice. Mine is still raw and porous. I tried to seal it with some Auto Glym Leather Care stuff but it hasn't worked. I'm going to try some Brooks Proofide next.
If you're going to buy them get them from Fresh Tripe, even if they don't have your colour in stock they can order them for you. I bought direct from VO, they took forever to arrive and I got stung £10.50 by customs. £2.50 for VAT and £8.00 from Royal Mail for handling. Daylight robbery.

Get that tablet on ebay… they're only useful for mac monkeys. Proper designers are more at home with a mouse or pen & paper. Once you've sold it we'll all be happy to help you out.
