So my tamper just arrived and I would be a happy person only it doesn't fit my basket! Seems the basket has tapered sides, because the diameter looks the same to me (53mm).
I should really take my portafilter and tamper somewhere I can check they will fit in a basket and buy that, but does such a place exist?

We all have to do our own risk assessments.
?and we have to get them checked by a senior colleage or other knowledgeable third party since the potential consequences are not limited to you, ie you may run into someone else.
Not having a go, just saying...
Tartan would look not good in my opinion, but it's not my bike. Nevertheless I've never heard of tartan tape. Black ftw.

Is the condition supposed to be the same for both SUMIF statements?
Are the formulae copying correctly? (Should you have a dollar sign before the B3 to keep it referring to the same cell?
Is the space before the B3 in the second statement breaking it (probably not).
Have you chcked that all the referenced cells have the correct content (numbers, text, etc).

Current interpretations of astronomical observations indicate that the age of the universe is 13.75 ±0.17 billion years,[4] and that the diameter of the observable universe is at least 93 billion light years, or 8.80 × 1026 metres.[5] According to general relativity, space can expand faster than the speed of light, although we can view only a small portion of the universe due to the limitation imposed by light speed. Since we cannot observe space beyond the limitations of light (or any electromagnetic radiation), it is uncertain whether the size of the universe is finite or infinite.
Thus says wikipedia. Can anyone with physics training confirm it (last two sentences for example aren't referenced (I'm not saying it's wrong)). -

Nice bike Dave, shame it's not a lizard.
^This.
Appreciating the bike is all about having seen the previous incarnation, understanding the pain when it got stolen, knowing the lengthy process of sourcing parts to rebuild and (most importantly) understanding that it's a well-thought-out expression of his personal taste.
To be fair, it's hard to understand these things if you don't have any context, but for my money, it's all about 'projects' that express people's love for their bike. More loving, less hating please.

Feel like I'm on the verge of buying a grinder as well. I've been reading and thinking about them a bit, but tbh the ascaso i-mini that MrSmyth mentioned is sounding good. Plus the black plastic finish one would actually match my espresso machine, so saving a bit of money too.
The cheaper ones have the same burrs, right? MrSmyth, if you are going to buy it I would love to hear what you think about how it performs.

Oh, I think I get it, you mean without a lever action dumping a certain amount of coffee in?
If you're not a cafe and only grinding for one or two cups at a time then the lever action isn't good for delivering a measured dose anyway since each of the 'sections' of the grinder's little storage wheel area can end up with different amounts of ground coffee in. So one lever pull will get you a full section of coffee but the next might be empty, if you know what I mean (have a look at a comm. grinder and it might be clearer).
I pour beans into a spare basket first and dump them into the hopper so I don't have too many beans in the hopper and don't grind too much (some people comment on burnt beans due to bounce but I haven't got time for that kind of thing).
Then if you fill to the top of the portafilter (or sometimes a set mark below the top) your dose is consistent. It's very important to get the ground coffee spread evenly in the basket too.
Thanks, that makes sense. I was just thinking, how would you pour the ground coffee into the basket, then out again, then in again, say if you were going to weigh them. personally I dose by measuring the beans out in one of those 7gram scoops, but that's for cafetiere brews. For espresso I just do it by eye in the basket, but I was thinking that I should be more careful about it. Maybe not though.

Cheers, still think I've bought the correct size but it still doesn't fit. Argh.
