I didn't swear at the guy merely questioned him on his reasons for giving me verbal abuse.I explained that equally I would have liked to have sworn at him but by denying him such pleasure probably wound him into further rage.......he was shouting various expletives as I pedaled away after our conversation and trip wire threats;no blows or ambulances I'm afraid.
Clearly the guy has a strong argument to protect the park which I respect but there are more politically correct ways of achieving his goals.

It's ironic because there are quite a few studies showing bike do less erosion than walkers and much less than horses.

I went for an off-road workout on my Mountain Bike in Richmond Park(illegal I know)this afternoon to have some fun riding on the snow before it melts.Just near Pembroke Lodge I got verbally abused by a"gentleman" walking his dog accusing me of damaging the park.Surprised at this random abuse I stopped to have a polite discussion with him;I accepted I was in the wrong( riding off the designated cycle path) but he continued giving me shit and suggested I cycle into a large lorry!!!!
Clearly he was having a bad day;hated off road cyclists so I pedaled away before I took his remarks too personally and spent the remainder of my day in Richmond Police station for GBH.
The most disturbing threat this gentleman made was he intended to "wire" some of the tracks on that downhill section between Ham gate and Pembroke Lodge to cause max damage to any unsuspecting off road cyclist who might be enjoying the hills........

i feel your pain. for too long i've been riding to the pub, double locking, and thinking, it's ok, bike won't get stolen, other people don't lock properly, or leave it in a stupid place. i was wrong. eventually shit happens.

I work shifts;use a large Chrome messenger bag and often get pulled by the law late at night;i don't jump traffic lights;use lights and use my "own" bike.

didn't mean to label council tenants;I have the precise address of the vendor;I really don't want to get into some issue especially when the bike will be sold very quickly.I gave all the info to the Police they refused out right to come along and if I had visited my friend and matched the frame number there was a high probablity(quote police)they could not get a warrant and get into the guy's flat.So my arguement is the Police are a fucking waste of time and I didn't want to get into any form of violence all I wanted was to ride a bike of my choice and chain it up where I wanted.Clearly my rights have been denied;what is the fucking point of being a law abiding citizen..........

Spoke to some geezer who knew nothin technical about the bike;admitted it was a grey/ green colour;couldn't tell me how long he had it etc,. immaculate condition(my fucking bike)called police they couldn't give a shit.
Through lack of heavy weight friends and location of seller I bottled out(council block in Old St.)
My life experience of this why am paying fucking taxes for police who are not attacking crime at gound roots level(I don't consider my £800 Pista groound roots by the way).
Letter going to my local mp and I just resigned my job to become an untouchable bike thief;I look forward to dealing with you.Orders welcome and I'll give cash discount but not if you are a fucking police officer.

no but thanks for taking time out to look for it .This is green(mine was grey but could be classified as green).Antonio selling the bike might be colour blind;I'll forward this to the police nevertheless.
