HI folks some opinions please, I want to get some powergrips and while I'm at it want some new pedals that they can go on. I've got size 12 feet so wanted something a bit bigger but that i won't have pedal strike issues with. Was thinking about the shimano dx or similar but would these be a nightmare to flip into the right position, as they aren't really made to be used with clips or similar? kthxbai

i lived in NY for 8 months last year and loved it, lived in flatbush in BK, was a bit far out, but dirt cheap kind of on the edges of ghetto, but i had no issues, not much going on there tho, just fried chicken, liquor stores and nail bars. moved to bushwick which was awesome, a little bit further east from williamsburg, so not so hipster. if you're on a bike you can be in midtown manhattan in half an hour, and williamsburg in about 10 mins. rents much cheaper than bburg too. i wish i could go back. have fun!

On my everyday route home. Yesterday, about five to 6 pm, at the lights before going up to Smithfield, at Farringdon road:
You're waiting at the lights, on a slick grey f&f, yellow neon Deep Vs and other neon acoutrements, trackstanding in a fairly wobbly manner. For a while. Then fell off. Then the lights go green. I am really proud of myself for not laughing. Or saying 'Shaaaaame'.haha, gutted. that was me, the shame :( i felt like a right twat, couldn't get out my clips in time. have to keep practicing, am slowly getting better though. what's a f&f btw? thanks for not overtly taking the piss however deserved.

Cool. Could also raise awareness of Ghost Bikes.
The company Bicycle do some really nice cards we could 'pay homage to'...

thanks to the evil of wet drain covers placed on a corner and excess speed i'm sitting at home with a broken collarbone. it's fucking sore and gonna be off work unpaid for at least a week or two, off bike for even more, really not looking forward to public transport. just wondering what's the most common bike injury out there, (apart from road rash) collarbone seems to be a favourite. god i'm gonna be bored, can't even type with both hands.

thanks for the tips guys. i think i'll try and re use what i've got for the moment, until i can afford to spend a bit more and upgrade to summat nice and shiny. brucy how much do you want for the old pista hub? still tempted by the really garish neon yellow hi vis, halo set tho, hmm... all for safety of course.
-
yeah i used grease on all the threads. it does have a flip flop but the other side is only for a freewheel. was just thinking if i'm going to have to buy new hub and spokes etc this is probably a good time to upgrade to something else as it looks like i'll need to spend about 60 quid anyway. what about those halo wheelsets on the blb site? do you know if they are any good?

mr sportif pinks still going yeah and some neon greens too while i'm at it? when/where to meet? i have monies!
