You do know you can get clamp on front brake kits.
They work very well, it's what the Keirin riders use when hill training.

*Mizuno 1inch Carbon forks which will allow me to run a front brake without drilling the original Samson forks or running (in my opinion) and ugly looking Dia Compe clamp on break.*
