Trump going to meet Kim Jong Un... first US sitting president to ever do this.
What could possible go wrong?! (but here's hoping something positive comes out of it)

It "shows" as sent from your email address, however that's just text, you can set that to anything you want. There's no verification (ignoring DKIM etc..) on is that REALLY the address it was sent from.
Think of snail mail. I can write on the letter "From Skydancer, 1 Pall Mall, London" ... is that true? Nope, but nothing stops me doing it.
This is basically similar. Email was never built with security and author verification in mind.
If you still have the original email you can check the source and see which email SERVER started the chain. If it's your work server, then you might/probably have a problem. If it's some random IP in russia/china/whoknows, then odds are it's just a spammer / bounce back / totally faked.
Of course, it's always safest to update usernames/passwords just incase, but worth investigating. The use of putting your email address in is VERY common, as they want the person receiving it to think it's urgent and do the transfer without any due diligence to see is this REALLY skydancer ? Why would he send me this ? etc...
Policy should be to make it clear to all staff that things like that are NOT how you do business and education as well :)
(sorry for the longer response, worked in email security for years and this was common even back in 2005!)

Ultra common fake email. It's really easy to forge email headers.

Just ignore it

Took my Orient Mako II to get the watch band fixed. Fancy Rolex/Tudor Shop here in SF, dealing in the usual really high end stuff.
Not only did they fix the band for free, the woman even commented on how good the mechanisms in Orients are. It's only a $180 watch... but yeah the internals seem pretty good to me (not that I k
now anything!).That said, the damn watch strap is terrible, so ordered a temp replacement and finally a Bergeon spring tool. I've been using a knife lol

Apparently I really like Seiko/Orient... just ordered an Orient Esteem, which brings me to 5 or so from that company

Massdrop are actually doing it atm, for about $108 delivered. I realized the other day all my watches are diver types, and none fit under a shirt etc.. This one isn't super slim, but should fit a little better.

for the record, I work for OpenDNS and have done pre-Cisco. Everything is logged sure, but we haven't done anything other than use it for improving our service in years.
I'd be hard pushed to think of anyone who runs a good DNS service that doesn't log and utilize the data. Google for sure do as well.
There's a new consumer DNS setup, quad9.net that does not personally log data. Note: I'm 100% sure they log IP just like OpenDNS does.
If you do use OpenDNS and do not have an account, we basically have no clue who you are other than the requesting IP. So no different to any other DNS server on the planet pretty much.

So replacement Google 2 XL arrived. And yup, dead pixel on the screen (different location). 1.5 hours on a chat to RMA the thing.
I honestly don't care that much about continuously doing RMAs, EXCEPT that I have 2 factor auth accounts that I keep needing to re-key every damn time. I wish more companies would support yubikey so I don't have to install some stupid app instead

Pixel 2 XL arrived today. Not had much chance to play with it, but it feels way more premium than the Nexus 6P it's replacing. Screen is really good, but it is "cool" colourwise as people keep moaning about. I'm 100% going to lose the headphone adapter, and they are back ordered till Dec now. That said, the OS runs butter smooth, and the camera seems great (but need daylight to really test it out).

It trashed my PC at home. Upgrade went fine, everything ran, but any file you created you could not access/read/delete/modify. It would claim you didn't have permission, and that you needed permission of user "XXX" where XXX was the damn user I was logged in as.
Trying to reset the permissions, and takeown didn't work either. icacls failed too.
Gave up and rolled back -
So I've finally got my two yubikey 4 ... not 100% sure what to do with them. I enabled them on Lastpass, but seems you can just request a OTP sent to email...
I really wanted to use them for veracrypt, but OTP + veracrypt isn't possible (for obv. reasons). Might store a massively long static password on them for that.Anyone else here use them ? Things I should look at ?

I bought north face freedom pants, they are cheap (well I paid $85) and do the job
https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/snow-sports/ski-pants/the-north-face-freedom-pant
I keep looking at getting Arc'Teryx but the pant cost is insane
