I'm only contemplating selling mine because I am over riding fixed on the road.

It take quite a while to get used to, at first it felt exactly as you described, but I realised I was trying to ride it like a normal bike, and trying not to depressed the suspension as I accerate, the more I start to relaxed, the more it become responsive.

But then, it could be delusive because I got the bike and won't admitted how awful they ride.

It was awful, and something that no one should ever have to get used to.
Idiotic design in my opinion.

hello Alien, I have a folding bike too, can I join?

Moulton lent a few of these to the company I work for to try out.... they were so horrible to ride it is unreal. Bouncing around all over the shop as soon as you get out of the saddle... absouloutley shocking.
Had a Super Record 11 speed groupset on it too... WTF is that all about??
