yeah i concur, i like the lack of concession to current fashion. its a pretty good alternative to the fuji track, but more realistic about the enviroment its actually going to be ridden in.

yeah ive been thinking about doing this on a rank frame i have sitting around. i was going to file and then progressivly sand the edge of the lug.

i dont think this would damage the frame integrity.

i need to get a new set of files though as i only have butch ones for carpentry.

ive ridden a comp and it was actually really quite nice. very light and smooth ride. i reckon this would be a nice bike to ride.

shortly after 9/11 i went to new york for xmas with my family. im fairly dark, have long hair and a beard. i also have stamps on my passport from tunisia, egypt, jordan, turkey, pakistan, india and a whole bunch other places i have been during my life, as well as the 2 years i lived in singapore. ive also been to the US maybe 12/15 somthing times. my parents passion is travel, my mum writes travel books.

they pulled me from a massive que in JFK, i reckon based on my apearance, but then saw all these stamps when checking me over. i ended up being confined away from my family in a cell for 8 or so hours with a couple of interviews (interrogation) to break it up.

they kept asking me questions about what id been doing in various places. i didnt really know what to say and just made myself sound guilty when i hadnt done anything.

cops:"why were you in jordan?"
me:"we heard there was some really good diving there. and youknow holiday, stuff.....
this just made them more supicious.

i havnt been to america scince. probably wont again.

im not taking offence to the people, i listened for a while and they just seemed to be moaning about how little work there is now. the only reason im interested in couriering is becuase i like bikes, im not really very interested in the day to day life of delivering things, no more than im interested in the work life of waitors, security guards or city bankers. couldnt care less. to be fair though i did get bored and stop listening so there could have been an epihpany that i missed out on.

im not sure if this is the same documentry i listened to on iplayer. the one i listened to was a bunch of people moaning about how slow buissness was. me and my friends dont talk about our work togather becuase its fucking boring, so why do i want to listen to a bunch of strangers who deliver packages.

how is that anti porn, looks dope to me. im not keen on ergonomic bars and the white spokes look a bit wierd, but im sure it looks really good in real life.

yeah, at the moment i have one of my old casios straped to my bars and i just work out the speed. but really i want a current speed to know how well im doing in certain sectors. and its just a bit fiddly.

i used to ride a harder gear, but have moved to a more spinny gear.

ive recently come down from 52x17 to 52x20. at first i found it really awkward and my chest would burn up well before my legs (previously other way round), but after a couple of weeks ive got used to it. im now boosting about much more comfortably than before, and cresting hills is much easier. when i was on 82gi i really had to wrestle the bike over crests and was absolutly shagged afterwoods.

i do alot of my riding at night, and set myself personal TTs as i dont have any cyclist friends to race with.

ive been shopping around for a fairly cheap computer, but i havnt seen any with a backlight. not even any expensive ones seem to have a backlight.

im not after anything fancy, i just want to be able to know my current/avergae speed at night without having to squint to see it.

can anyone recommend somthing? i dont really want to spend more than £60.

i find the amount of artificial light a bit grotesque, but nice pictures otherwise.

recently ive been developing what can only be described as excessive amounts of pleghm after riding for 2-3 hours.

it mainly attacks me when i stop riding, and i cough and splutter up phlegm for about half an hour before it declines. its really uncomfortable. the phlegm is clear, so i dont think i have any kind of infection.

ive only had this problem scince i moved to kent, never in cornwall.

has anyone else suffered from this? any remedy? i suspect it has somthing to do with heavy breathing in cold air, but i cant see how i would overcome this. im going to go to the doctor next week becuase its really begining to bother me.

thats no way a rat bike. its all clean and shiny and just has some rubbish stickers on it. doesnt even look like it been ridden in the rain. wheres the rust?!

fairly nice bike though but a bit average, why on earth doesnt the owner just wrap the fucking bars properly.

i ride alot at night, as a result i get stopped fairly reguarly for looking suspicious. theres quite alot of pikey kids rolling about at night on bmx's causing trouble, and i think they just put me into the same catagory. ive also RLJ quite a few times and not noticed the presence of a cop car at the lights.

i take one of two routes with coppers, either pretend i didnt know they existed, or be very blunt with them. the classic is the: "where are you going at this time sir?", and me replying: "nowhere, im just riding my bike". they dont seem to know how to respond to this and confounds thier little bacon brains.
