the adverts are quite sparse though. i think there was only three breaks from 60km on. i actually dont mind the adverts; it gives me time to fire up some more coffee and find another king skin :) i tried watching the ITV4 jive but much prefered eurosport, plus its HD which i always appreciate.
millers break was solid, but there was no way he was going to lose the main field. boonen and menchov are having a rough time this tour, cant see them really doing anything now. i like seeing thor hushovd winning, hes the giant sprint powerhouse that can make it to the front on stages wheres theres a bit of hill, unlike cav.

no-idea- i have an 06 fuji track in 58. im 6' 2" and have the seat up a fair bit. it fits me fine but if i were to get another, id be tempted to try a 60. id be concerned that a 60 might have too long of a reach for my arms even if it were perfect for my legs, so id have to sit on one to see what it felt like. a diffrent length stem might help with the arm reach.
i reckon youd probably want a 60 if your a bit bigger than me, but dont take my word for it, find one to sit on!

the lotus bike made famous by chris boardman is almost too obvious for the porn thread, and id be really suprised if it hadnt been posted already. but why the hell doesnt anybody make a frame like this, even if it isnt UCI legal. i reckon it would sell, if they could make it durable enough. we dont all want to race!
i love the fat aero single sided stays, and what appears to be the sproket on the outside of the chain stay. i cant find a photo of the bike from the front or back, but it must be super thin. if this thing had headtube/set similar to the specialized TTR and other modern TT bikes it would look amazing.

i have one of those pursuit frames converted to SS. found it in a skip and spent months tweaking and riding it to what it is today. after several years of good service im thinking of doing it up with a really nice paintjob and better componants. its not a light frame but it rides nice, it has sentimental value to me, but im not sure i would drop coin on it otherwise.
if your interested i have several sets of diffrent viscount graphics printed on vinyl. i sourced the different graphics from all the viscounts ive seen around cornwall. theyre very common down there.
ive also had a lovely yellow and chrome viscount which i loved, but eventially had to let go of becuase it was far too small for me.
if anyone has a viscount frame in fairly good condition ill be willing to take it off your hands. large size 57-60.

is it? ive just been watching eurosport becuase its in HD and has less adverts than ITV. i might give itv a go tommorow.
does columbia have anyone capable of challenging the GC? its great that cav is doing well, but we all know he can only do so much.
good to see lance up at the front, but really i wanted to see cancellara make a move at the 1km mark and beat the sprinters to the line.

what do we think of these then? my bro has recently got into road bikes and wants to get some shoes, was gonna go down the sidi/shimano route, but at £45 and backed up by good reviews they are very tempting. however the cost concerns me that maybe durabilty is lacking.
i own some Shimano R086 shoes which i got for £65 at my LBS, which i chose based on price, and the fact the sidis/higher end shoes were far to narrow for my feet. im very happy with them, and they have a rachet system which i assume is supirior to velcro. i say assume becuase these are my first and only clipless shoes, so i dont really know if they are any better or not. my bro might get these as well, but hes very much a cheap out or go big type of fella, no inbetween.
are these DHB shoes any god? rachets worth bothing with? any shops in london with a big range and large sizes to try on?

ive just got a charge spoon TI doodad for my geared bike, it was uncomfrotable until i tilted the nose up. every saddle ive ever had has been uncomfortable for me when its set to being level, putting the nose up looks a bit lame, but its definatly what my undercarage finds comfortable.
i like the charge spoon but part of me wants to go back to my good old selle san marco regal, i think after riding it daily for a couple of years ive just got used to the way it feels. with that said i dont know if it would be as comfortable on my geared bike as it were on my fixed.

What's the alternative, anyway? Spending months and hundreds of pounds sourcing period correct parts
yes, otherwise get a modern frame thats probably cheaper and better. i dont really think the parts have to be perfectly period correct, but it is just completely wrong to mix the aesthetic of old and classic with modern. if it were any old crappy frame it wouldnt matter, but hetchins arent any old frame.

well im a bit mixed. i dont like him as a person, but i dont really think this matters. he raises money for charity which is nice of him.
he had some amazing performances in the TDF, but after the first five victories, didnt he think it might be time to have a go at somthing else. id be much more impressed if he had won some classics and maybe the giro as well. but you cant take away from the amazing climbs he did.
i also find the TDF genrally a bit boring. during the lance era it lost all its excitment in the same manner that schumacher destroyed F1. there was no personality to connect to there, but then again i like the flamboyant showoffs, like macanrowe, cantona, and cippolini. i also respect the hardmen like shaun kelly, but kelly had his own humble persona that was alluring to spectators.

scott- those brakes look ridiculously powerful! i love paul components especially the brakes.
whats the deal with all the lights, is the silver one removable to use if needed for general use, or was the massive black one just not powerful enough by itself? are the knogs there for when its not really dark enough to waste the big lights batterys but somthing is still needed to make you visable?
how is it useing the aero bars on a loaded bike, i dont have any experience but i always assumed heavy loaded bike + aero bars = bad.
i get that you have a frame bag so no room there, but im not keen on the bottle on the forks idea. doesnt this really bog down the handling or is not really noticable?

a real working mans pasty is made by his wife, if you dont have a wife your local butcher or nanna stokes is where its at.
rowes is good in a fix, but its just mass produced in a factory and has a far too high veg to steak ratio and tends to become slushy. the quality of the pastry varies dependng who cooks it instore. somtimes youl get a good old maid who does it justice, and other times youl get a 17 year old chav from st just who doesnt give a fuck about anything. i know its only pastys but i grew up on these things, and much the same reason why i dont eat at McDs, why eat expensive shit when theres good cheaper stuff around the corner.
does anyone happen to know if theres any connection between viscount bikes and cornwall? theres alot of them about down there but not anywhere else it seems. only a little info on the net.
thats nice, i really like the paint on rossin frames, its a shame about all the shit stickers on the disk though.
is the stem of the same period as the rest of the bike? i dont really care about period correct or all that jive, but i thought that type of stem was from older bkes.
