Further pics... Finished spraying and laquering the Banani. It's come out pretty good considering it's a rattlecan job!

Going to leave the paint to harden up for a week or two still, before building. Still need to give the chrome a bit of a scrub and polish too.

I rested the forks and wheels in there just to for kicks too... Looking forward to getting this built fully!

I have a lovely set of 7500 series Dura Ace track hubs, the axles / bearings and internal gubbins could do with an overhaul though. Does anyone know if the newer, and readily available axles / cones etc from the 7600 hubs will fit?

Nitto Technomic Stem - £15 - SOLD
90mm length.
26.0mm clamp.
Shiny and in good nick from a about 7cm below the top.
Some marks below that, but thats in your steerer anyway, usually.

Charge Bullhorns - £6 - SOLD
470mm width.
Pretty much as new, taken off the missus' bike as soon as she got it.
Includes bartap / bar plugs.

Unknown Alu Risers - £4 - SOLD
410mm width.
40mm rise.
Decent enough condition.

North Road Bars - Can of Red Stripe - SOLD
570mm width.
Chrome is pretty rusty on the back-side. But could probably be cleaned up with some effort. Could be good for a beater?

Couple of pics during painting... The red has come out quite a dark shade - thankfully, as that what I wanted - and completely different to the cap colour, haaaa! Currently 2 cans of colour in, after a can of primer.

Trying hard to resist the urge to rush this. haaaa... so I think I'm going to throw 1 more can of colour at it, after sanding down a few of the orange-peeled and rough bits before a can of clear laquer on top, which is needed cos it's a pearlescent colour.

That's providing halfords has the colour in stock, waahhhh. I best go check.

Got a Nitto Technomic, 100mm going spare if your interested?

@Velocio - yeah i'm into their logo, barring the B... Something about it annoys me.
I'm yet to contact the shop... But have redrawn the logo in Illustrator if i need to get some decals made up as a fallback. Ha.

Yeah i'm just over 6ft, this is slightly smaller than my other bikes which have been closer to 60 (I have freakishly long legs) but fingers crossed it will be ok!

I'll contact the Banani shop and enquire about decals!

We assumed it was a Ciocc, until I stripped the paint back and investigated a little further.... Prefer the idea of it being a Banani than Ciocc now anyway, a little rarer I'd assume. :)

Looks to have been built by Banani in 1978.

Which would make the Dura-Ace 7500 stuff that's going on it, just about period correct.
