For some reason, there was a draw for free tickets at my work, for the London 6 Day track event this week, at the Olympic velodrome. I ended up with far more tickets than I could ever need.
I'm heading there tonight with friends, but I have no use for the ones I got for tomorrow...
2x tickets (seated next to each other) Wednesday 21st
Row 8, so pretty close to the track I guess?Ticket price says 46 quid, which seems a bit fucking steep.
Your's for nothing.Collection from NW1 (Gt. Portland Street tube-ish)

Been a while since I've updated anything here... The Banani is fully built. Well, it was, I needed a chain for my BMX so I stole the one of this (nothing fancy don't worry) and promptly snapped it. It's been chainless since. That was 6 months ago.
Here are a couple of pics of it finally built, all be it 6 months back, and with ugly, completely out of context, pedals and straps off my pub bike...

Since, I've made a couple of component changes. (Nitto Pearl stem, Nitto AA drops, Nitto Jag seatpost... new chain) plus i've got stickers made up, which arrived today. And prompted me to make this update.Gonna take a few snaps when the stickers are on and it's kinda finished.

Thought I'd chime in here... Got a daysack around Christmas time, so have been using mine for around 6 months now. Really good bag, comfortable, sturdy. Always get compliments on how well constructed and good it is/looks, always send them the way of the website. Can't recommend BigTop enough.
Modded mine slightly, by sewing on velcro to the lower portion of the clip straps, to which i've stuck the other side of the velcro covered with reflective 3M stuff... Like attached (shit) pic.

I'm selling my Pete Luxton path/track frame and forks, after moving on to something more modern for my commuter.
Collection only:
E9 Victoria Park - Evenings/Weekend
Dibs if you want, but PMs win.
Pete Luxton Path
60cm CTC seat tube
59cm CTC top tube
Nervex lugs/BB
English 68mm BB
1" steerer
Brake drilling front and rear
Horizontal / track dropouts
Rear cable guides
Includes:
Stronglight sealed headset
Generic aero seatpost
SOLD
Great little frame (well, biggish), perfect commuter, winter ready with mudguard/rack mounts, F&R brake drilling and cable guides. It's built by Pete Luxton, a small frame builder based down in Devon, for the husband of the president of the CTC in 1974. History.... Pretty light, could well be Reynolds 531, I'm no witch-doctor so I can't be sure, seems pretty feasible though. Definately a decent tube set. Beautiful Nervex lugged junctions and BB, semi wrap over seat stays, neat small track/horizontal dropouts unlike most path/track frames of the era.
I've had it for a little over a year, and have had a couple of the small dents filled out, then blasted and powder coated a dark green/grey/blue colour. Ready to roll. The powder coating has a few scuffs from use, but is still in good shape... Only other thing to note is the small weird dent (pictured) near the BB. Which I didn't get filled as you can't see it when the cranks are on.
The frame is built for 27" but I had it built up with guards and 700c, with deep drop brakes, (I have a set of Alhonga ones that I can chuck in for an extra £5) . The frame would work a treat with bigger tires and wider guards, although I never got around to that. I've the original decals too, direct from Pete, if you fancy slinging those back on.
