Cutting the curve seemed like it would be the hardest job, you would have to cut more out. Cutting more out takes a little time but should be pretty straight forward.

He got it off ebay ( I asked him before)
I found some where on ebay and ordered a circle cut in 4mm 150mm across (then cut the bits for the calliper and fixing out)

I am thinking of doing this in mid August.

It seems to be quite a common route for charity fundraiser rides if you take the most direct route, through dieppe then through paris. Has anyone on here done it?

I'm also considering going a longer route, through belgium then along the french-german border.

I can understand why hurling helmets have become so popular, the cage is easier to see through and they're dead light but for me the helmet itself seems a bit flimsy. If in a crash i went headfirst into a frame or cage/wall then I think the hockey helmets offer much better protection.

ideally for me would be a hurling grill on a hockey helmet, but I have never seen the grills for sale on there own.

I used some squash glasses for tourneys last summer. They were about 6/8 quid from sports direct and no bother to wear. Moved on to use a cage so that my face was better protected but i have thought about going back to just using them.
